Speaking
with journalists at the palace of Olota of Ota of Awori Kingdom of Ogun state.
Comrade Rotimi Rahmon a candidate of Allied People’s Movement (APM) for the
position of Federal House of Representatives disclosed to reporters that they
the candidates of APM for the February 2019 General Elections do really need
the prayers and blessings of their royal fathers so as to handing themselves to
God on high and their forebears.
Comrade Rahmon aka Arugbo said that charity
begins at home and for that reason the leadership of APM decided to flag off
their political campaign from the palace of their royal father Olota of Ota
Prof (HRM) Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalenlege so as to bring their campaigns
manifestations to the grassroots electorate adding that the electorate actually
got to be carried along with the total packages APM has for all and sundry.
He said
that his message to the masses is that the masses themselves should do a
thorough research work on the candidates and all political parties presenting
themselves for election adding that the masses should vote for candidates and
political party that would provide the dividends of democracy as enshrined in
the laws of the land.
The high
point of the APM officially flagging off her campaign train was when all the
candidates of the party for various offices or positions were publicly handed
over APM flags by the leaders of the party. All the candidates addressed the
unprecedented crowds, but Comrade Rahmon aka Arugbo received the loudest
ovation and applauds from the party faithful
Comrade
Rahmon was the only candidate who had a field day with all the support groups
that came to witness the official flagging off of APM campaign train.
Speaking
with iconblazemagazineonlineportal Hon. Fagbami Akinbode a candidate for Ogun
state House of Assembly said that as a youth, that he had already marshaled out
an empowerment programmes for the youths within his constituency if elected
into the office come February 2019 general elections. He says that he is quite
sure that victories would be theirs adding that the uncommon crowds at the
campaign grounds were not rented from any other parts of the nation, but, they
are largely the peoples of Ogun state.
He says
that if elected into the office that all campaigns manifestos would be pursued
to the letters proactively and pragmatically for the public good of all and
sundry.
Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonlineportal
the Chairperson of the Igbo Vision Ogun state chapter chief Barr. Ifeoma Ekuri
said that the Igbo Vision was birthed in the year 2015 adding that it was born
for the general good of Igbo people and as well as to support the government in
power. She said that action speaks louder than words judging from the crowds of
the people gathered to witness the flag off of APM Campaign mega rally is a
testament that electorate are in support of APM.
Speaking further she said that Comrade Rahmon
aka Arugbo is the man of the people and his people identifies with him as son
of the soil adding that anywhere Arugbo goes and where ever he goes the Igbo
vision would follow him.
Her
message to the people are to believe in Arugbo and display love to him by
casting votes for him to clinch the seat adding that Arugbo has always done
well for the Igbo Vision and et’al ever since he cuts his fingers in the murky
waters of governance. She said that Arugbo would not forget them the Igbo vision
when he goes to Abuja to represent Ado-Odo Ota Federal constituency and she
again advised the electorate to vote wisely and protect their votes to the end.
Speaking
with Iconblazemagazineonline portal Ali Adeniyi of NATA who stood in for the
Chairman of NATA said that they the members of NATA are in full support and in
agreement of all the APM stands for politically and all that adding that all
the members of NATA would cast their votes for the candidates of APM when the
February 2019 general elections hit the turf of decision making by the
electorate.
The mega campaign rally gathered various
groups of supporters that is, Igbo vision, Arewa Community, Market Men and
Women Association, Elders Forum, Youths Forum, The Nigeria Students Association
of School of Technology, Gateway Queens, infact the list is endless and the Palace
of Olota of Ota was dwarfed with the unprecedented crowds that trooped out to
witness the official flagging off of APM Campaign and the crowds were
pleasantly informed that come February 1st, 2nd, 3rd,
2019 that the gubernatorial candidate of APM Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade aka Tripple A shall formally be at
home with them all for effective campaigns.
