OREDO LGA STEP DOWN
TRAINING ON IPV 2 FOR HEALTH WORKERS, NURSES, COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION

Speaking to the participants after Oredo Local
Government Area main auditorium, King’s Square, Benin City, Edo State
coordinator World Health Organization WHO, Mrs. Faith Ireyen stated that all
health practitioners should be unimaginably proactive and creative with the
manner with which they carry on their duties at their various facilities adding
that their superior officers do quietly evaluate their performances without
them knowing that they are being evaluated by their supervisor officers.
Speaking further to the participants she
stated that health practitioners should have love of caring and saving the
lives of patients and children who do come up for immunization exercises with
the right types and does the vaccine, for the children between six weeks to 14
weeks old required adding that the entire duties of the health practitioners
are purely laced with uncommon love, care and duty bound at all times. She encouraged
the younger health workers to always seek audience with their seniors who had
garnered experiences over the years and by so doing, they themselves would
learn a great deal of the practicalness of the jobs.
Speaking further to the audience, the state
coordinator of World Health Organization, Ireyen stated that there are lots of
children in Oredo LGA who are not immunized adding that there are suspects of
TB cases, HIV/AIDs cases, Covid-19 pandemic cases and again she said that
integration is the key success of the whole step down trainings.
Speaking to the participants, World Health
organization (WHO) LGAF Ireofor Grace handled the introduction, polio and polio
end game strategy whereby she scholarly applied various models while she
presented her presentations and of a truth the training is quite interactive
because the participants had a field day asking questions where necessary and
again heavy elucidations are provided as how the inactive polio vaccine (IPV2)
would be administered to the children under ages of six weeks to 14 weeks old.

Speaking to the audience that Cold Chain
Officer CCO of World Health Organization WHO Aigbe Judith who scholarly presented
the subject matters to the health practitioners – in activated polio vaccine,
multidose vial policy, storage and transportation of inactivated polio vaccine,
how to avoid freezing of vaccines during storage, how to condition ice packs
vaccine vial monitor, packaging of cold box, waste disposal management flow and
of a truth her presentations generated lots of positive reaction, from the
health workers that attended Oredo LGA step down training.
Speaking to the audience Iyobosa Aghahowa presented the paper titled Data Management whereby she told the participants that data management is very important for proper record keeping of how number of children who came for immunization exercise adding that the general attendance register is the best document where the date of male and female children immunized would be quickly and easily obtained.

Agency NPHCDA and national Emergency Rating Immunization Coordinating Centre
(NERICC) did encourage the health workers to how uncommon interests in the step
down carried out Oredo LGA because according to him, he says that training is
very important for them so that they should be duty bound in discharging duties
with love care, tenderness to the children under ages of six weeks to 14 weeks

to save lives of the immunizable children.

state immunization officer, Mrs. Adesuwa Agbonikan stated that the whole essence
of Oredo LGA step down training is an introduction of inactivated polio vaccine
(IPV2) into routine immunization which are to be one does, but it will be two
does for children between the ages of six week to 14 weeks old in order to
