HopeWell Initiative Celebrates IWD With Several Empowerment Strings

The Hopewell Initiative for National Development in conjunction with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) of the Lagos State Government have pleasantly and unimaginably celebrated the International Women’s Day with the theme “Break The Bias” and as well as Realism and Diversity as a sub-theme at the Excellence Hotel and Conference Centre near West Examination Council (WAEC), Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos State. 



Speaking as the guest speaker to the audience Lead Consultant and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Anthrope Management Mrs Dorcas James states that women are specially created by God with multitask streaks with which they handle all the issues that affect them regularly on daily basis adding that women generally handle all the issues that affect humanity as mothers, wives, sisters, colleagues et’al. 

Speaking further to the gathering, she states that women need to develop rapidly in all areas of human existence because women are home builders, managers of themselves as well as the men folks adding that women need to upgrade in the skills and she also added that women combine work as mothers, wives and largely she avers that women hate to see themselves as failures in all ramifications. 

She states that the globe is changing and rapidly moving up positively so also women should always move on with the rapid applications of the wind of change blowing all round the globe adding that women should always be ready to learn new skills rather than fold their hands and be expecting juicy life style without adding values, times, energies to achieving the expected good living conditions. 


She charges all women to start breaking the bias with themselves by being, pragmatically ready to adapt to new psychologies of life. She states that women should always take care of their health adding that lots of women are guilt of not taking care of themselves health wise. She states that women should have a place for work not using all the spaces available to them adding that women should always ask for help when the need arises. 

She states that women should be dedicated, hard working and prayerful at all times because God is the one that approves all happenstance of mankind. Speaking to the gathering the founder of Hopewell Initiative, for National Development Aiyepola Bilquees Morenike states that Hopewell Initiative for National Development has been able to affect three Local Government Areas with her several of empowerment strings since they came on board from 2013 adding that with the grace of God and State Government that Hopewell Initiative for National Development would heavily affect the lives of Women in the remaining Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs). 

Speaking again to the audience she states that Hopewell Initiative for National development have 300 volunteers who largely support the NGO positively in all good fronts. She states that Hopewell Initiative for National Development thus offers soft skills trainings to women, girl child adding that when a woman is trained a whole nation is trained. As the celebrations of International Women’s Day hosted by Hopewell Initiative for National Development of the members of service table unveiled Hopewell Women Skill Acquisition Initiative a subsidiary of Hopewell Initiative that deals with Skill Acquisition and Empowerment of Women Girls nationally to the glory of Hosts of Heavens. 

Speaking again to the audience Alhaja Alyepola states that there has to be safe environment for women to operate without molestations from any school of thoughts. Speaking as the Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye CDC Pastor, Samuel Olu Opajobi states that International Women’s Day is a day set aside by the powers that be from the United Nations that all women are to be celebrated for their Social, Economic, Cultural and Political achievements adding that the theme “Break The Bias” calls for urgent action for accelerating gender parity. 

He states that every March 8th is special day in the entire globe as symbolizes the love, empathy, affection, resilience, restiveness, compassion, intelligence above all the doggedness of all women globally. Speaking again to the gathering, the chairmen CDC, Ifako-Ijaiye Pastor Olu Opajobi states that women should be allowed to operate well in their chosen careers adding that Break The Bias should be seriously look into by Policy makers so that issues affecting women would be positively harnessed and socially enhanced. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline Mrs Adenike Opebi and as well as National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) President Oshodi, Isolo, Isolo-Ejigbo LCDC of Weep Not Tabitha Foundation states that women should be celebrated everyday not once in a year adding that women are Oil, Salt, Pepper, Crayfish, Meat of the Earth that men need to survive. She states that women are Mothers, Wives, Sisters, Colleagues that the Policy Makers should raise the bar of acknowledging women with love and peace for the uncommon roles they play in improving the society. Speaking further the arrow head of Weep Not Tabitha Foundation states that women should be allowed to participate in the Political affairs of the nation as they have more women representatives in Rwanda Nation.
