I PREDICTED STRANGE DISEASE 24 YEARS AGO--- PROF (SIR) AGBONLAHOR, FAS

Speaking as the keynote speaker to the audience at the Akin Deko Auditorium, Ugbowo Campus, University of Benin, Benin City, Edo States at the Faculty of Medical Bacteriology (Nigeria) West African Post Graduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (WAPCMLS) with the theme “Resurgence of Diphtheria, Meningitis and Cholera Outbreaks Amidst Antibacterial Resistance in Nigeria” Professor, Sir Dennis Edo Agbonlahor, FAS states that he practically predicted of a strange disease 24 years ago at Ambrose Alli University, (AAU) Ekpoma, Edo State when he delivered his Inaugural Lecture adding that the Federal Government and Federal Ministry of Health never took his prediction very serious. 

Speaking further to the audience he states that about 22 years after his prediction that the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic broke out in 2020 to the entire globe which devastatingly crumbled the global economics and that many innocent souls were speedily transited to world behind.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer MD/CEO of Lahor Research and Molecular Diagnostic Laboratories, Benin City, visiting Professor to Department of Medical Laboratory Science, Edo State University, Uzairue and Igbinedion University Okada, Edo State Prof. Agbonlahor, FAS did not disappoint the uncommon gathering at the main auditorium with his lucid educations of the theme of the two days maiden conference of WAPCMLS. 

Speaking as the Faculty Secretary of WAPCMLS Nigeria chapter to the audience with her welcome address Prof. Helen Ogefere pleasantly welcome all and sundry to the maiden two days conference of WAPCMLS, where she also narrated to the gathering how much efforts they have all invested into making sure the maiden two days conference took place. 

Speaking as the Representative of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Benin City, Prof. Lilian Imuetinyan Salami as a Special Guest of Honour, Dean, School of Basic Medical Science Prof. Freddey Agoreyo states that the Vice Chancellor would loved to grace the event personally, but, because, she has some pressing assignments to attend to, hence, he is mandated to stand in for her adding that the Vice Chancellor wishes them a fruitful outing. 

Prof. Mose Anietie, chairman, Nigeria Chapter West Africa Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science is the chairman of the occasion and of a truth he did not disappoint the audience with his roles he played. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline the 2nd deputy President of Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Initiative (AMRAI) Prof. Patrick Igbinaduwa states that they are NGO Group that is out to the entire peoples of the needs of becoming a member so that adequate awareness will be created for all and sundry. He says that membership is opened to all citizenry of the republic.
