The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos shall play host to Nigeria’s prestigious cyber security pundits and participants at this year’s edition cyber security challenge Nigeria (CYSEC NG) holding from October 25 to October 26, 2017 being put together by upgraded Era Solutions in collaboration and partnership with government and non-governmental agencies. 2016 was the year the maiden edition of the conference and Hackathon competition, did see stakeholders from National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS), Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + Security Science (CSCSS).

The Nigeria Police, Wanaster, British High Commission, Afrocet, Montgomery of Securex, West Africa, Lagos State Government, Financial Institutions, Academic Institutions, Directions, Directors, CEOs, GMS, IT departmental heads, Digital Forensic Investigators, hackers, Penetration, Testers, Leading Industry Vendors and many more. Speaking on the huge success of its maiden edition.

Mr. Victor Idonor, Managing Director of Upgraded Era Solutions said that the essence of its objectives are to building a viable IT/Cyber Security Challenge, shall host a wider scope of prestigious experts from agencies, organizations and notable passionate individuals including the Wali of Borno State.

Idonor added that the cyber security conference and hackathon will see the return of battle for THE ULTIMATE CYSECA a high level hacking competition where qualified stakeholders lurk horns for grand cash prizes. Speaking further Idonor, says that their maiden seminar in 2016 was really exciting and a huge success that massively validated their commitment Nigeria’s best and brightest to the cyber security industry, as bringing together all participants in the IT security industry to discuss the most logical way to address the forever growing cyber crime waves recorded within and outside Nigeria.

In an interview session during CYSEC NG 2016 with the Assistant Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, ACP Johnson Adenola said that he saw the conference as a novel idea, an excellent initiative by Upgraded Era solution, considering the matters raised, that it would benefit the entire country. 

He further said that they of the Nigerian Police Force have got lots to benefit from the seminar and that they would like to take it up from there, as ACP Adenola noted the dimension of Cybercrime in Nigeria is really, really unimaginable and he assures the organizers that the police leadership would be willing to partner with Upgraded Era Solution and looking forward to more collaboration with the CYSEC NG body.
