The Ever increasing Anointing Ministry International played host to the family of Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Sifax Conglomerate when his heart throb, Pastor Mrs. Folashade Abosede Esther Afolabi came forward to celebrate her 50th Birthday and Thanksgiving Service at the church.

The birthday thanksgiving service started with praises from the choristers who actually and spiritually electrified the entire church. Reading the Bible passage, the living legend himself, Dr. Afolabi welcomed all and sundry to his paragon of beauty-spouse – Pastor Mrs. Afolabi’s birthday and thanksgiving celebrations, but particularly, he did welcome the wife of the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the Royal Majesty, Oba Dosunmu, friends, in-laws and members of the Sifax Group.

He told the audience that his spouse and himself are very, very humble persons despite the uncommon blessings God himself have blessed them with. As the birthday and thanksgiving services continue, one Mr. Adesola Adebowale Auditor and Tax Consultant to the Sifax Group introduced the Matilda David Foundation to the entire worshippers of Ever Increasing Anointing Ministry International and the general public.

The large-hearted Senior Pastor of the church – Taiye Emmanuel Olayemi mounted the pulpit and he spiritually delivered his sermon on thanks giving where he said that the favour of God matters a lot. He said that it is not the tons of monies around you that is the matter, but what the person done with such monies with people around him or her. And that each time one says “God Thank you,” God Himself increases His favour upon the person as he says that there is a man who gives to all and sundry. That thanksgiving would take you to the next level of the mercy of God.

The Senior Pastor, Olayemi told the congregation that God will “entrust us with favour and mercy, God will entrust us with long life and prosperity.” He averred “that thanksgiving means adoration to God, thanks giving means dancing to God as King David of old Israel danced nakedly to God.

Thanks giving means music to God” as he continues to preach the sermon, he burst into songs of praises – “Glorious God, Beautiful God, Excellent God, we bow before your throne.” He further outlined the importance of thanksgiving as he says: “there should be celebrations. There should be increases, there should be graces, there should be abundances of the graces and mercies of God,” to go with us always, as he says that the greatest gift a man should give to another person are prayers, and at this juncture, he called out the family of Dr. Afolabi to come forward to the alter and nine (9) pastors circled them round for prayers, and of a truth, each of the pastors prayed for them, but Senior Pastor Olayemi closed the prayers with his final blessings.

He said that jubilee means freedom, jubilee means liberation, jubilee means joyousness and says that he has known the celebrant in the last 23 years as he told the congregation that thanks giving opens doors of favours. When the church service rounded off, gentlemen of the press sought an audience to meet with the senior pastor for an interview session, and by the graces of God, the Senior Pastor Olayemi gave the gentlemen of the Press uncommon audience, where he told the press men that the celebrant, Pastor Mrs. Afolabi has been a foundation member of the Ever Increasing Anointing Ministry International since 23 years ago, and that without mincing words, that Pastor Mrs. Afolabi is a very simple person, that she is not a proud person…that she does not depend on her husband’s wealth as most women do. He said that Pastor Mrs. Afolabi has a large heart of gold towards all and sundry.

Speaking further, the Senior Pastor Olayemi said that Nigeria has no recession, but what she has is “economic mismanagement and corruption. He queried if actually there was recession, as the leaders make the citizenry to believe, whereas one politician has more than N50 billion Naira at his disposal. He further said that the politicians are toying with the lives of Nigerians the way they like, but that God of favour would ask them questions when the time comes.

Speaking again to the press, he said the once every month, the (the Church) attend to the people of the community with one corporate social responsibility initiative, and that the church has so far provided free water for the community to fetch from freely, and that the rate of crimes in the area has drastically reduced compared to when they started the church the church.

He said that he does not give a haute to what people say of him, for as long as he is doing what God himself wants him to do. He said that the Afolabis started the church with him when they lived at Egbeda and that when they eventually moved to Osborne area of Ikoyi, Lagos State, they still come all the way from there to worship God at the church and to God be the glory, they are still staunch members of the church.

Speaking to the press, he said that he is not a political pastor, but a spiritual pastor. He queried why would a governor’s wife move around with more than 30 personnel? He asked that if we actually knew the fiscal amount of monies that accompany such trips, that the leadership classes in Nigeria are very extravagant in spending public funds. Speaking further to the press, he says that the spiritual issues cannot be handled as leaders are raised based on what God wants them to do. That the first thing for the church is to impact the lives of people spiritually, which are already decaying, that when the Holy Spirit is in you, you are bound to do the real thing, that the church has been registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) since 15 years ago.

Speaking further, Senior Pastor Olayemi says that recession is man-made and agrees that we don’t have recession because it is not spiritual. It came as a result of the selfishness of man and that it is corruption and mismanagement that we have, as he agrees that we have everything in Nigeria to make us live well and be a great nation, as there was famine in the Bible, there is currently no famine in Nigeria. Let the politicians stop playing with the lives of men, women and children. That anyone who plays with the lives that he or she did not create will suffer, and again that we do not have recession rather we have mismanagement and corruption.

Pastor Mrs. Afolabi gave out various kinds of gift items and food to all and sundry that celebrated with her and her family. In fact, she applied principles of Mathew 25: 35 to 40, where Jesus Christ noted that whatsoever you do to the least of his brothers that you do unto him. “When I was hungry, you gave me to eat, when I was naked, you gave me to wear, when I was you sick in the hospital, you visited me, and when I was a stranger, you gave me a shelter, now, enter into the home of my father.”
