Be A Cheerful Giver - Bishop Ugorji

Bishop Lucius Ugorji Bishop of Umuahia, Abia State in his homily at the Solemnization of Holy Matrimony between Miss Catherine Ogbonnaya Kalu and Mr. Lawrence Ehimen Iyre at the Catholic Church of Assumption, Falomo, Ikoyi Lagos has graciously told the newest couple in the entire universe Mr. and Mrs Iyre to be cheerful givers at all times.

Speaking further Bishop Ugorji told the Parishioners, all and sundry that some times last year 2016, that the daughter of the former Executive Governor of Abia State Dr. Orji Uzo Kalu Catherine approached him that she would be he so gladdened that he Bishop  Ugorji would celebrate her Solemnization of Holy Matrimony and happily Bishop Ugorji did celebrate her wedding. The readings of the wedding were taken from the book of Genesis (2:18-24) Ephesians (5:21-33) and the Gospel Matthew (19:3-6).

He told the couple that the love of God over all his creatures is uncommon and overflowing like a river. He told them to love each other as Jesus Christ Himself loves the church. He told them to tolerate each other at all times. He told them to be patience with each other at all times. He told them to be appreciative of each other. He told them to say sorry to each other when the need arises and as well as always say thank you to each other whenever the need arises. Bishop Ugorji tells them to be a cheerful givers at all times because God Himself would always disguise himself into any form of human being and he tells them that when such a person approaches them for financial assistance that they should attend to such person and unknowingly that they would attend to God.

A special prayer was said for them. The officiating ministers were Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Archbishop of Abuja Bishop Ugorji of Umuahia, Rev. Fr. Pius Omofuma, Parish Priest of Catholic Church of Assumption, Faloma, Ikogi Lagos. The Reception of the Wedding took place at the Oriental Hotels Sand Fill Bus Stop, Lekki Lagos.

The reception of the wedding gathered the crème de la crème of the society and of a truth the uncommon guests at the reception showered godnessess at the couple by spraying them with all kinds of currencies.

Speaking with journalists at the reception ground the National leader All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Governor of Lagos State for two terms and the man who designed the uncommon plans of the present smart mega city of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said that he is wishing the couple all the blessings of God to be with them always.

The All Progressive Congress National Leader Jagaban of Africa told Journalists that the economy would definitely improve for the citizenry to feel the dividends of democracy. The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Tinubu prayed for the newest couple that they would be blessed with good children and that they should be able to celebrate their children marriages as their parents now have celebrated theirs for them.

Speaking with Journalists the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief John Oyegun said that they have noted what pangs Nigerians have been through but, that he believes that the economy would definitely pull out of the woods and the citizenry would enjoy dividends of democracy as he appealed to all Nigerians to be really patience with the ruling party APC.

Speaking with Journalists Otunba Gani Adams, the Chairman of Odua People’s Congress (OPC) said that the couples are quite young and he said that both of them are in love with each other.

He advised them to tolerate each other no matter the challenges they may face and he wishes the uncommon blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ upon them. Speaking with iconblazemagazineonline the father of the groom elder Fredrick Iyre said he was exceedingly gladdened to God for his son Lawrence and his spouse Catherine. He advised his son Ehien to love, respect and always listen to his spouse views. Elder Iyre advised his daughter – in – law Ogbonnaya to always carry the qualities of the virtuous woman in the book of proverbs chapter (31:10-31). Elder Iyre told iconblazemagazineonline that his own spouse is a daughter of a military brass of blessed memory from Ishikeri extraction of Delta State. He clearly and loudly advised his son Lawrence to be a father, brother, friend partner of progress to his beloved spouse Catherine.

The uncommon crowds were thrilled with the latest music of Innocent Idibia aka Tuface or Tubaba and Flavour. The newest couple Mr. and Mrs. Iyre, the Pretty Young Things (PYT) apologies to Late Michael Joseph Jackson (MJJ) and even the oldies danced out their hearts to the melodies tunes of the star studded Musicians Tubaba and Flavour.

The reception has 10 serving stands for tasty delicacies and all brands of drinks were served to all and sundry.
