CRIMINALS ARE NOT GHOST- AIG. AJAO (RTD)

          The Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) rolled out drums to celebrate one year of her existence as a community based security outfit at the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) Magodo, Lagos. 

The chairman of the board of LNSC (Retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Isreal Ajao) while reading his well-researched address to the audience he noted that criminals are not ghosts that they are human beings who live among us. 

Speaking further, AIG Ajao noted that the activities of the criminals must be reported to the officers of  LNSC who would then swing into action and thereby arresting them and finally hand them over to the police for further investigations. Ajao said at the inception at Agege stadium that the government of Lagos state under watchful eyes of the Executive Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Dapo Ambode recruited 5,700 officers for five divisions which comprises of the followings;

·        Lagos division represented by Hon. Ishola Ismaila Laguda
·        Badagry division represented by Chief (Mrs) Ronke Ogabi JP and a board member of LNSC
·        Epe division
·        Ikeja division represented by Aboyade
·        Ikorodu division.


Speaking further the chairman of the board of LNSC Ajao took time off to outline the achievements the LNSC has recorded in the last one year; in fact the list is endless. As he was speaking to the audience he requested for a minute silence for the members of LNSC that lost their lives as they were rendering selfless services to their fatherland. He largely appreciated and commended Governor Ambode when he quoted that Governor Ambode branded LNSC a special baby, at his heart.

Speaking again, the head of Lagos state Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI) Ojora Adewale told the audience that he is really glad for  LNSC that stated on March 29, 2017 at Agege Stadium has reached one year today. He said he is actually pleased because of the training offered to the 5,700 officers of LNSC was not a waste.

He praised Ajao for his uncommon foresight in running the board since one year as he believes that LNSC would achieve more success stories as they drive criminals away from the neighborhood. The LNSC one year ceremony was really colorful with the five divisions having match past of which the chairman of the board of LNSC Ajao and very important personalities inspected the parade. To add effects to the ceremony there were display of intelligence unit, bicycle and motor display.

Speaking with the journalists  Hon. Ishola Ismaila Laguda representing Lagos division with 13 Local Government and Local Council Development Areas. He said that the LNSC has recorded good success at the primary and secondary Schools and they work intande with principals of school in arresting secret cult members, he also said that the area boys fighting has drastically reduced. He said peace actually existed in the division and in his words, (we are working with the Nigerian police force to bring down the crime rates as we want to make Lagos Division a crime free zone).

Speaking with journalists chief ( Ogabi JP who is Badagry Division representative and also a board member of LNSC said that she did not single handedly sponsored the colorful one  year of LNSC event, rather she contributed her wealth of expertise in making sure the ceremony makes a loud statement to Lagosians who are the beneficiaries of the smart mega city plans of the Governor Ambode . She praised the leadership style of the LNSC board chairman, Ajao.
The LNSC board gave out awards to deserving personalities who had contributed positively to the uncommon successes the board has recorded since she came on board.
