doctor is not meant to administer drugs to every patient that comes to the
hospital adding that is not every patient a medical doctor must counsel as
there are many departments in a hospital management.
Speaking

practitioners that the ministry of health, Lagos state has begun a case study
of about 44 cases of health insurance scheme which are heavily beneficial to
all residents of Lagos state.

again to the participants at the function suite of Sheraton hotel and Towers,
Ikeja, Lagos the amiable hon. Commissioner for health, Dr. Idris said that the
ministry of health should distribute the facilities equitably to all the
sectors that needed the social health insurance scheme adding that the overwhelming

Speaking with iconblazemagazine online the full bright fellow of medical stock
Dr. Idris said that the World Health Organisation (WHO) had stipulated that a
medical doctor is required to treat only 600 patients per day, but, he noted
very painfully that , standards and regulations are not like that in Lagos
state and the entire black Africa where a medical doctor sees well over 3,000
patients on daily basis adding that there are brain drain in virtually all
sectors of the economy as there are no conducive working environment for
medical practitioners as there is capital flight of many of the trained medical
practitioners who rushed to the UK,USA,UAE,GERMANY,CANADA,FRANCE etc.
Speaking
further with Iconblazemagazine online portal Dr. Idris said every Nigeria has a
fundament human right to seek for medical treatment at any medical facilities
of his or her choice whether in Nigeria or overseas adding that the president
of the federation president Muhammadu Buhari has all unfettered rights to seek
for medical treatments where ever he chooses, but, he quickly adduced that if
the medical facilities that are available in Nigeria and black Africa are
functioning optimally that there would
not be any need for leaders or money bags seeking medical treatment overseas as
he pragmatically made a loud statements that health sectors should not be left
in the hands of the government adding that there has to be public private collaboration
in all ramifications.
Speaking
with Iconblazemagazine online portal program. Director, Safe care Pharmacy Access
foundation Dr. Ibironke Dada who delivered a thought provoking paper on Lagos
State quality policy for the health sector said that they had already
demonstrated a pilot scheme in Makoko area of Adekunle Yaba Lagos adding that,
there has to be medical check ups yearly by all enrollees and residents of
Lagos as she said that there has to be an evidence that the beneficiary lives
in Lagos State not somebody coming in from Sango Ota in Ogun State to clinch The dividends of democracy she posited that there has to be medical
check up for wellness and general medical examination of the entire anatomy.
Speaking further she said the reason why a
medical doctor sees over 3000 patients in Lagos state is as a result of brain
drain in the health sector because the medical practitioners are not properly paid compared to their
counterparts in foreign lands adding
that the environment is not conductive for most medical doctors and other
health workers as she quickly concurs that health care issues should not be
entirely left in the hands of the government as she concurred that the workshop
hosted by the ministry of health Lagos State government is timely and all
entrancing.
Speaking with IconblazeMagazine online
portal Director, family Health and Nutrition Dr. (Mrs.) Folashade Oludara said
that the workshop is actually timely, inspiring, alluring, educative and enlightened
adding that participants have largely benefited from all excellent papers
presented by various pundits as she largely commended the honourable
commissioner for health Lagos state Dr. Idris who had contributed his expertise
to make the workshop robustive and all that.
Speaking again with IconblazeMagazine
online portal Dr. Oludara said that meeting up the regulation of World Health
Organization (WHO) of a medical doctor seeing only 600 patients per day is not
achievable because the needed main power and facilities are not available
adding that the capital flight of health workers away from Nigeria is alarming
and disturbing.
She avers that the federal government and
other states government of the federation do really need to work out a workable
environment and good packages of salaries and allowances for the health workers
and she submitted that if everything is put in place for the betterment of all
and sundry that there may be some improvements in the future. She did run down
the composition of ministry of health as follows. Honourable commissioner for
health. Special adviser on Primary Health Care. Permanent Secretary Ministry of
Health. Permanent Secretary Health Sector Care Permanent Secretary Primary
Health Care Board. Representation monitors one representation of implement
