Mr.
Goodie Ibru a lawyer who turned a hospitality business mogul has graciously and gloriously marked his
seventy-five birthday celebrations at the function suites at the Sheraton
Hotels and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking
to the guests the celebrant himself and his entire family members raised their
voices in thanksgiving to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for good health
and all that Speaking in a joyful mood the celebrant Mr. Ibru gave a graphical
narrations of how he sought monies to set up his hospital business.
The
idealist and master strategist said that Nigerian financial institutions are
not business friendly but, however, he profusely shared his glad tidings of how
he was on board travelling abroad and by providence an Indian man entered into a
conversation with him as they both discussed the Indian man told him that the
world bank has a loan she wishes to give to Nigerian government adding that he
keyed into the loan format as he continued his narrations that the loan
facilities needed a strong worded letter from the Ministry of Finance Abuja ,
to the world bank.
The
lawyer turned a hospitality exponent said that he quickly rushed down to his
eldest sibling late Olorugun Michael Ibru the fisherman business mogul to assist him in approaching the Ministry
of Finance Abuja for the letter and pronto the said needed letter was written
to the world bank and of a truth the world bank approved the loans with good repayment
conditions.
The
birthday boy said that he normally celebrates his birthday every 10 years but,
owing to some circumstance he has to cut it down to every five years now. He
also told the audience how a foreign partner whom he knew from his late elder
sibling late Olorogun Felix Ibru an architect and one time Executive Governor
of Delta State and also a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, adding
that the foreign partner designed the master pieces of Sheraton Hotel and
Towers at a bill that was staggering over one million pounds. But, however, the
birthday boy, a responsible family man who loves his spouse uncommonly also
showered praises on his spouse, His two sons who are both lawyers and his
business associates of many decades.
He
said that list is endless, but, he publicly appreciated his workers and clients
alike He pragmatically told the audience that the secrets of business success is God, honesty,
trust, hard work, punctuality, friendliness, good communicational skills adding
that, hard work does not kill rather it rewards uncommonly.
The
birthday boy said that he has decided to disengage from active participation of
work, but, however, from time to time he would be available to render
