Parents Allow You Children Complete Primary 6 Education – Adekogbe.

Speaking as the lead convener of Bring Back Primary 6 Movement Didiolu Adekogbe said that parents should allow their children or wards to complete primary 6 education adding that  sound educational background of any child, pupil, ward begins from completion of primary 6 curricular adding that it is no longer news that things are not going on right on the education sector and especially the PRIMARY EDUCATION SYSTEM which unfortunately is the foundation and bedrock of all further education in life. Speaking to the parents,, stakeholders, pupils, and general public the lead convener of Bring Back Primary 6 Movement Adekogbe said that the movement was brought up to support Mrs. Olusola Bankkole the NAPPS – Abuja President  initiatives on the “Bring Back Primary 6 class in schools in the Federal Capital as it had been burning concern in them as consultants, educators, parents seeing the way of the children struggle in secondary school and in life as a result of this malpractices. Speaking again to the audience the lead convener of BBP6M readout the missions tatement as (To create awareness on the benefits of pupils completing  full 6 year programme of Primary education and proclaim the detriments of doing otherwise while the aims are as follows:
·         To encourage parents and school owners to ensure pupils below primary 6 are not graduated or moved from primary school to be admitted into secondary schools.
·         To encourage government authorities to enforce  this motive.
·         To make schools and corporate organizations buy the idea and enforce the movement in their operations.
·         To encourage schools to raise matured children for all  - round success in secondary school and beyond.
·         To build a nation of emotionally Intellectually and morally competent and sound minds that will make a difference in leadership and character.
Speaking further to the audience the lead convener of BBP6M Adekogbe said that they would achieve all these aims and mission statement by the provision of information regularly on the subject via different platforms, organizing seminars for parents, schools executives and teachers at different locations of the state using Lagos state as a pilot location to other states, Online training discursion, - Through Facebook, IG, Whats App, Twietter, Opera mini et’al account for wider coverage and maximum awareness and encourage schools to make primary 6 a very active and functional class thereby fulfilling the TRANSITIONAL purpose of the level beyond academics. 
Speaking to the audience the lead convener of BBP6M Adekogbe said the following have to be adopted: Sensitization of parents, that at the beginning of grade 5, school should have meetings with parents of grade 5 and let them know the demerits of sending student to secondary school from grade 5, get one or two parents who had regretted sending their wards from grade 5 to come tell them their bitter and horrible experience, get principals of secondary schools and Headteachers (especially JS1) to talk to the parents on the demerits of enrolling children from grade 5, also gather the children to listen to such pathetic stories and let them know what the national and state policy on education is and the fall backs in the future.
Speaking again the lead convener of BBP6M Adekogbe said that school owners and parents of grade 6 extremely interesting, parents should be only sworn in at grade 6, role playing of A Day as the school Director should be in grade 6, get them to go on memorable outings in grade 6, dinner with the school Director of a choice restaurant Sheraton, a chinise eatery or an exotic eatery for grade 6, lovely valedictory, graduation party should be for only grade 6, pupils with a lovely farewell gift to remember for a long time to come.  
Speaking the lead convener Adekogbe said that they must keep the vision alive since the menace of leaving before primary 6 has its draw backs effects on the children and the family adding that the assumption that Nigerian children are suddenly smarter than ever and therefore can skip primary 6 and from 5 to go to secondary schools even from primary 4 is largely crippling the system.  
The BBP6M event at 3BBBS Event Centre, Ketu bus stop, Ketu, Lagos had wonderful speakers from both Private and Public Institutions. Speaking to the audience the President of Women Society University of Lagos Akoka, Yaba, Lagos Mrs. Oluwaseun Ogundipe says that it would be really wrong for any child to skip primary 6 education means a lot to the pupils as she lampooned most parents who take away their children or wards to secondary school from grade 5 level.
She passionately appealed to parents to allow their children to go through primary 6 education because the primary education is the bedrock of preparing the children for future. She said that in some developed nations that enrollment age is 6 years old in Canada, 7 years in Sweden and Germany is 6 years old for school enrollment adding that that the admission age of University of University of Lagos is 16 years. Speaking to the audience, Dean of School of Education and Humanities Babcock University, Ilisan, Remo, Ogun state Dr. Abiodun Adesegun ably represented the Vice – Chancellor Professor Ademola Tayo told the audience that their University is a faith based University adding that the students do not involve in cultism, drug abuse like Tramadol, Codine, Kanabies et’al but, he narrated a very touching story of a female student who was meant to spend four years, but, painfully the girl spent 6 years before she before she graduate said the female undergraduated told him how her mother rented an apartment for them when she was only 8 years old and that her mother travelled overseas to work for money. 
Dr. Adesegun said that the stories of the girl were quit touching and laced with passions and he again said that if any of their student(s) is caught with drugs that such a student (s) would be taken to Aro hospital Abeokuta for one year for properly examination, and if after one year medical examination that such student(s) are not behaving well that the school authority will asked them to withdraw from the University.
He said that all the stakeholders in educational matters are calpable of one wrong vices in the society adding that the NASS should come out with strong policies as legislations for offenders to be punished properly and adequately so that it would serve as a deterrent to would be evil planners of short changing the educational policies to their own benefits. He said that agencies like JAMB, should be in fore front to streamline proper admission policies and as well as the National Assembly Law Makers. The Deputy Director in school Support Services Lagos SPEB represented the Chairman and Head of Department SPEB Mrs. 
Helen Sofowora said in their section that they are doing their best in making sure that the best Policies of educational matters are being marshaled out for the public good of parents, students, and stakeholders.

The interactive session of BBP6M had 10 panelists made up of school owners, teachers and parents and they all wonderfully contributed academically to the questions Joel the moderator posed to them. In fact, of a truth, they all contributed pragmatically thereby some of them suggested that they should have a peaceful Project to Alausa the seat of Lagos State government, others differed, preferring that communiqué be issued to all stakeholders and relevant agencies, but, while the interactive session was on a lecturer of the Department of Early Childhood Care and Educational , ACOD Lagos and National Coordinator, Association Nursery and Primary Education Instructor in Nigeria Fowawe Sunday made an analysis of a 21st year medical doctor with first class from University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos and another medical doctor from the same University of Lagos with third class, but, he is 55 years, and Fowawe asked the audience which of the two medical doctors would they preferred to handle their wives operation matters and of a truth, the whole audience went for the third class medical doctor because he had garned experiences all these years.
The pupils of little Saints School staged a peaceful demonstration to the audience with plaques that read ‘Let me enjoy my education full” Our parents please allow us to finish at grade 6” Speaking with Inconblacemagazine onlineportal Victor Ogunbekun of Learners Castle school and a member of Concerned Parents Educators said  that there has to be a good foundation be laid down for all pupils from Crech – Nursery and Primary Schools to be taught all Inclusiveness of education so that in the nearest future these children would occupy the leadership positions. He avers that parents should stop sending babies to school, that the right age of school enrollment should be at 6 years as he profusely commended the Lead convener Adekogbe for her idea, pushes and efforts to host this maiden Edition.

  1. Good job....There is need to enact legislation to enforce this in our educational system.Needless rushing our children for adult responsibilities for whatever reason.
