Sports Create Uncommon Opportunities –
Chief – Odegbami

Speaking
as the quest lecturer at the University of Lagos, Faculty of Education, Department
of Human kinetics and Health Education Chief Segun Odebami said that sports create, uncommon opportunities for all
and sundry that are directly or indirectly involved in the sporting activities
adding that there are too many opportunities in the world of sports.
Speaking as the quest lecturer at the Federal College
of Education, Akoka, Lagos Chief Odegbami at the 8th Departmental
Lecturer series with the theme
“Repositioning Team Nigeria for Global Achievements in Sports”.
He said
that the theme of the 8th departmental lecture series is really apt and timely
because many waters had passed under bridge through the national sporting
activities from various government functionaries adding that there is need to
reposition Team Nigeria for global achievements in sports.
He avers that Team
Nigeria really needs to be repositioned for a greater achievements.
He employed
so many models with which he used in driving down his lucid and cerebral
lecturer to participants highlighting the uncommon opportunities in the advantages
are too numerous to mention. He avers again that sports create wealthy, fitness, wellness, mental stableness,
endorsements, brandings, networks, et’al.
He said that he had mapped out plans
with which he would proudly, productively, pleasantly promote sports in all ramifications
when he becomes the governor of Ogun State come February 2019 general elections
adding that he would be able to put the plans into workable actions as the
Chief Security Officer of Ogun State by the Grace of God.
He said as a governor
of Ogun State he would work in tandem with FIFA Federation International Football
Association principal officers in making sure Nigeria would host the FIFA world
cup 2030 in many cities of the country adding that the hosting of the FIFA
World Cup 2030 would create uncommon opportunities for the sporting sector and
all other sectors such Hospitality, Medical,
Communications , Transportation e.t.c. when he rounded off his lecturer the
entire participants accorded him a standing ovation. Many of the sport
administrators received various awards for the noble roles they had played in
the promotion of sports. Director, Grassroots Sports Development, National
Sports Commission, Chairman of the day, Dr. Are Ademola Olabisi was ably
represented by a Director of National Sport Commission, Abuja.

Uche Anazado Major was awarded an award for the spectacle roles in the development
of sport, Anazie Nnamdi Ignatius Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) Royal Jotoz Garden
Gym.
