BLUE HOUSE CLINCHES FIRST POSITION WITH 32 MEDALS

The blue house of Lara Day School has proudly, pleasantly and
sportmanly clinched the first position at 2019 Lara Day School Interhouse
sports competition at Agege Stadium, AgegeLagos.
With 32 medals.
In clinching the first position the blues house pooled 17 gold
medals, six silver medals and nine bronze medals. The Yellow house came second
position with total of 31 medals pooling in as 11 gold medals, 11 silver medals
and nine bronze medals. The red house came out the third position with total of
30 medals arising from 3 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 12 bronze medals.
Speaking with journalists the Chairman Effimi Odo said that
education is not only about studying in the class rooms all the times adding
that sporting activities are very important to physical and mental development
of the children.
He said that the certificate issued out to graduates by
University authorities always carries (in learning and character) adding that
the totality of education must be all encompassing through academics and
sporting activities.
He said that his own father encouraged him heavily while
he was a child and student adding that he too is uncommonly encouraging his own
children now so that they would learn to love and praticalise these norms when
they too become parents.
Speaking again he said that he initiated the ideas of
awarding cash prizes to winners so that they can spurred to work hard adding that
there is always rooms for improvements.
Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonlineportal. Franciseca
Ayinde a friend of Lara Day School said she came to encourage the children,
parents and school authority adding that the events is quite good, interesting,
bonding the children together in love and all that. She said that the children
actually entertained the audience with their unimaginable performances.
Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonlineportal Tokunbo Ajanaku
National Vice Chairmanof Nigerian Institution of Engineering and a parent of
Lara Day School says that his son is in basic five adding that fathers are
never available to support their children and wards with human activities. He
says that fathers are always pushing most duties to mothers to handle whereas
there are some very vital duties father should deftly, proactively and
pragmatically handled.
He said that the standards of education in Nigeria is at
lowest ebb adding that a state of emergency should be declared in the education
sector so that the standards could be uncommonly improved for the public good
of all and sundry.
Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonlineoportal Olabanju Olurin
the supervisor of the school said that the Interhouse sports competition was
fun for the children as the completion was very competitive, entertaining. He
says that Lara Day School had been very solid in churing out great Nigerians in
all walk of life adding that the one time speaker of Federal house of
representatives, Abuja Hon. Dimeji Bankole was a product of Lara Day School.
Again Olurin said the Laraness in Hon. Bankole has propelled
him to run for the governorship of Ogun State under ADP political party adding
that the list of those Nigerians that started their educational streak at Lara
Day School are endless.
Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonlineportal the patron of
blue house Tolu Omoniyi said that he was really gladdened that Olufunmilayo
house came out first with 32 medals adding that the school management would
keep the nice tempo of training the children in academics and sporting events.
Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonlineportal Farhad Shalid a
national of Pakistan and a parent of Lara Day School said that he is very happy
to see his son participating in the track and field events of inter house
sports competition adding that the inter house sports competition should be
held regularly as it makes the children very healthy and mentally balanced.

Police Band entertained the audience with nice mixed grills of music.
The children
themselves were exceedingly happy with the inter house sports competition and
the Police band played stand up for the champions for blue house.
