BOS IS THE GOVERNOR ELECT FOR LAGOS STATE

Mr babajide Olushola Sanwoolu of All Progressive
Congress (APC) is now the Governor elect for Lagos State. He was elected on a
Saturday 9th March, 2019 by the electorate of Lagos State on the
just concluded Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections held nation
wide by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The Governor

compared to the Presidential, NASS and Federal House of Representatives on a
Saturday February 23rd 2019, adding that the governorship and state

(PDP) from pursuring legal processes of the results of the presidential electionadding

judiciary adequately. Speaking again, he says that the 20years old democracy is
improving, but he submitted that there are many rooms for improvements so that
it could be well run the way other nations and nationals run the said
democracy.

Onuzo Nwakife a retired civil servant from Fedral Minisrty of Education, Abuja
said that the governorship and state assembly elections were quite calm, ordely
and peaceful adding that the turn out of electorate was not too pleasing
compared to that of presidential, NNSS and Federal Houses of Representatives.
She said that the 20years old democracy is on course, but, that there are still
much more opportunities for improvements from all sectors adding that all hands
must be on deck to build up a flowering democracy for all and sundry. The crew

Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro (IBO) of All Progressives Congress (APC) who is Federal
House of Representative elect for Eti Osa constituency disclosed that he
personally came to polling unit 019 A and B Lateef Jaknde Ikoyi Lagos where the
governor elect Sanwo Olu did cast his vote adding that he was making frantic
efforts so as to be assurance double sure that the INEC adhoc personnel and
electorate were all ok.
He says that
he was quite too sure that APC candidates for the governorship and state
assembly would definetly emerge victorious at the end of the voting exercise
adding that Lagosians do really need progress and continuity for the next four
years of good governance that the current governor Ambode had been providing to
Lagosians.
He generally concurred that the turn out of the
electorate was really low as regarded the impressive turn out recorded on 23rd
February 2019 when the presidential, NASS and fedral houses of representatives
took place. He however, commended the INEC for the uncommon zeals displayed at
finally conducting the general election 2019 succesfully, adding that the
shifts in dates from 16th February 2019 and 2nd march
2019 to 23rd February 2019 and 9th March 2019.
