JOSHA RECEIVED THE PROMISES MADE TO ABRAHAM BY GOD ------ VEN. AKINWANDE

Speaking as the lead speaker of Diocese of Lagos West Anglican Communion Chapel of St. Luke The Physician at the 11^th Word Conference 2019 with the theme (Be strong and of good courage) (Joshua 1 : 9b).

Venerable Titus Oloniluyi Akinwande graciously told the congregation that Joshua the son of Num received the long promises made to Abraham by God adding that Joshua who had been a personal assistant to Prophet Moses as well as one of the 12 spies who gave a positive reports of the land they spied to prophet Moses while the children of Israel were in the wilderness during the movement of Exodus from Egypt.

Speaking further Venerable Akinwande said that Abraham was a wonderful man of faith who believed in God uncommonly adding that Abraham was tested by God to sacrifice his son Isaac for Him and of a truth Abraham courageously displayed the zest to obey God faithfully.

Speaking again to the audience Ven. Akinwande said the biggest problems of mankind is fear . He said that Gpd Himself kept telling Joshua (Do not be afraid as God Himself assured Joshua of victory adding that God kept assuring Joshua of constant protection as well as the Holy bible says ( we are chosen generation).

Speaking further to the congregation Ven. Akinwande said ( we need to read and study the bible to know and understand the word of God adding that God kept assuring Joshua not to be afraid and that he should not turn away from the book of law of God. Ven. Akinwande said that the only way out to live out of fear is being born again as accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour adding that Jesus Christ is the way, truth and life and through Him salvation cometh unto mankind.

After his inspiring delivery of his lecture, questions were fielded to Venerable Akinwande for more clarifications and elucidations and of a truth he provided answers to the grey areas of the subject matter

Speaking to the audience Muyiwa Alawode of fitness watch International delivered an eye opener lectures on overweight, Obesity, Myths and Misconception where he said that most supermarket are now super caskets. He shocked the audience that some soft drink is a killer adding that water controls one’s apetite while soft drinks cause more hungry. He said that a bottle of Coke contains 130 calories and shockingly he said that a new drink is in the market has 330 calories contents which is a killer to all the users. He told the audience that there has to be regular exercise of the body for wellness and fitness. He said for a diabetic sufferer that beans, green plantain, yam and egg, ofada rice, enough vegetable, sweet potatoes are the best food for the sufferers to maintain as diet.

The choristers of the the chapel of St. Luke The Physician LASUTH, Ikeja, Lagos really, really and really rendered uncommon song of praise to God the creator of Heavens and earth.

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonlineportal Revd. Mobolade Omonijo of DIMAC GRA, Ikeja, Lagos said the word conference is not a new event as it has been running for the 11^th times in the series and that the organizers had always been careful of the theme they normal chose for the event. He said that the church had carefully chosen Man of God who had Spiritually handled the theme uncommonly adding that God Himself kept assuring Joshua not to be afraid, to always be of good courage because God chose Joshua to lead the children of Israel through river Jordan to the promise land.

Speaking again he said that God needs us on many occasions like spying of the land by the 12 young men Moses appointed for the mission. He said that Joshua as Personal Assistant to Moses that he went up with him to the mountain of God to hear directly from God adding that God personally chose Joshua to complete the mission Moses began many years ago adding that God assurances to his people ( 1^st John 5 : 14 ) that God would hear us all as the people would listen, obey and pray to him regularly. He believes that with God All things are possible adding that our nation Nigeria would be a healed land for all and sundry.

The Venerable Stephen Adesoye Chaplain host read out the impressive profile of Venerable Akinwande to the congregation and time and space would actually dwarf us if we really wish to reel out the citation of the guest speaker who was a qualified Pharmacist, but later trained with Lagos Diocesan Board of Continuing Education (1983 – 1986) (Immanuel College of Theology, Ibadan, Oyo state 1997 – 2000) Ven. Akinwande rounded off his heavily Spiritual expose that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the root of salvation and lastly the chapel of St. Luke The Physician has this on her screen ( NOBODY CAN LOVE YOU BETTER THAN GOD)
