PRINCE AYODEJI OGEDEGBE BURIES HIS
LATE MOTHER AJEPE IN A GRAND STYLE

The journey
of late mama Dorcas Ajepe Ogedegbe to heavenly paths began with a service of
songs at her residence in Afuze of Owan East Local Government of Edo state. The
service of songs was hosted by St Luke Anglican Communion, Afuze and the church
was led by Ven. Leo Obaigbo one time English teacher and principal at Holy
Trinity Grammar School (HTGS) Sabongid – Ora Owan West Local Government Area,
of Edo state on April 19th , 2019 a day that the entire Christianity
observed as a Good Friday.
The children
of late mama Dorcas Ajepe Ogedegbe were called out for prayers of protection,
provision, peace, joy, love, guidance et’al by the church and on Holy Saturday
April 20th, 2019 the commendation service was held at St. Luke Anglican
church, Afuze. The preacher of the sermon Ven. Bada was uncommonly filled with
Holy Spirit of God and of a truth he delivered spirit filled sermon that kept
the entire church auditoriums spellbound. He titled his sermon of Prodigal
Fathers and Mothers.
He reminded the congregation of the sad story of the
prodigal son, but, he quickly added that these days that there are prodigal
fathers and mothers who have failed in their duties raising their children in a
Godly ways. Ven. Bada delivered a powerfully packed sermon that he graphically
compared the Dorcas of the Acts of Apostles and late Mama Dorcas Ajepe Ogedegbe
where he said that Dorcas of the Holy Bible was of a good hearted woman who
used niddle to knit sweaters for her fellow women while late Mama Dorcas Ajepe
Ogedegbe during her life time used chalks to raise the pupils in the different
schools and no wonder she was branded an Icon of chalk. Ven. Bada said so many
kind words of late Mama Dorcas Ajepe Ogedegbe. He told the congregation that
late Educational Inspector of Schools was one time his own teacher.
The knights
of the church paid their last respects and homage to late mama Girls Guide
Matron and all other societies she belongs paid their respects and homages to
the Icon of chalk.
The grand
reception of family members, guest, friends, well wishers was held at the
stadium opposite her residence.
Prince
Ayodeji Ogedegbe and his two brothers, Dayo and Tokunbo Ogedegbe provided ample
foods and assorted brands of drinks and the old boys and girls of Holy Trinity
Grammar School (HTGS)1976 to 1981 set were largely on ground to support the
peoples lawyers (Prince OOU). And of a truth those that showed love to (prince
OOU) were Barr. Philip Esele, Dennis Ogedegbe, Festus Idika, Festus Gentle
Unawagbaoje, Monday Aikpopo, Kakuri Alegbe, Friday O’Rueben, Mathew Okpeku,
Paul Imewere, James Longe, Monday Unugboje, Godwin Alufokhia a. k. a Goddy
Molla who twitted on the platform (It is well with my soul) on good Friday
morning. Emmanuel Akinrome a. k. a Dirty Boggy, John Dimowo the Pastor in the
house, Fine Girl, Bose Ogunleye, Aisen Felicia, Friday Ikepfan and the writer
of the piece Prince Charming Olu Leo Ezekiel of Iconblazemagazineonlineportal
and Ubulu Uku kingdom of Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta state.
The list of uncommon guests that graced the grand reception are endless.
Speaking
with Iconblazemagazineonlineportal Hon. Foly Ogedegbe, a memberof Edo State
House of Assembly for 10 years said that late Mama Ajepe Ogedegbe was a lovable
mother to all and sundry adding that late Mama Ajepe Ogedegbe was a strict
disciplinarian to the core. He said that the entire Ogedegbe and educational
sector had lost unforgettable human developer. He said that he prays that the
Heavens would receive her good and gentle soul into the bosom of Jesus Christ.
