The Management of Lagos City News of
sixth edition NIGSSA Awards2018 has pleasantly honoured Senior Security
Officers of the Nigeria Police force of the ranks of Commanders, OCs and Admin
Officers (AOs) of specialized units of the Nigeria Police force at the Nigeria
Educational Research and Development Centre (NERDC) Conference Centre, opposite
Fela’s shrine, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking to the audience the Publisher and
Editor – In – Chief of Lagos City News Mazi Emmanuel Uzoma Oduigwe pleasantly
welcomed all and sundry to the sixth edition Lagos City News NIGSSA Awards of
2018 adding that the whole essence of the exercise purely dwelled on recognizing
hard work, consistency, discipline among the awardees who had deftly pursued
their roles and duties effectively, efficiently, objectively and constructively
in making the entire Lagos state and its environs a safe place to live.
Speaking as the guest speaker to the audience the founder and Executive
Director, Crime Victims Foundation of Nigeria (CRIVIFON) Barr. Mrs. Gloria
Egbuji, with the topic “The Role of 21st Century Commanders, OCs and AOs in Achieving
Corporate Operational Success and Seamless functionality in the Nigeria Police
force”. Yes the guest speaker was unavoidably absent, but , the convener of the
event Mazi Oduigwe stood in for her to deliver the said lecture and of a truth
he did not disappoint the audience with his lucid presentations.
The Lagos City
News sixth edition NIGSSA Awards 2018 pleasantly honoured the following senior
Police Officers who were honoured with various awards: DCP Abba Kyari,
Commander IGP / IRT Abuja, was largely represented by CSP Philip Reininwa,
Coordinator, South West, IGP / IRT Lagos, CSP Peter Yisa Gana, OC SARS,
Badagry, CSP Veronica Ameh Akpa, OC, SIB Lagos State Police Command and others
were - CSP Uduak Udom OC, Anti cult
unit, CSP Oluwakemi Adedeji, OC, Human Right Unit, DSP Rotimi Aduroja, A.O F – SARS,
DSP Helen Nkechi Umeh, A.O, SIB and ASP Emmanuel Eunice Ajunwa, A.O, Anti cult
unit.
Speaking with
Iconblazemagazineonlineportal the Chairman of the event CSP Reininwa, Coordinator,
South West, IGP / IRT Lagos commended the publisher and Editor – In – Chief of
Lagos City News Mazi Oduigwe for recognizing the uncommon roles and duties the
senior police officers of Commanders, OCS and AOs adding that to whom much is
given, much is also needed from him or her.
He said that the awards awarded to
the awardees would definitely spurred them to be more proactive and duty bound
in discharging their roles as senior police officers adding that other
publishers and journalists should also beam their search lights on the senior
security officers of the Nigeria police force.
He advised the awardees to see their
awards as a tool to spurring them to hard work and uncommon excellence in the
pursuit of their duties as crack senior police officers of the Nigeria police
force.
