ORGANIZES RECEPTION FOR TPL DR. SALAKO

The Nigerian
Institute of Town Planning, Lagos State Chapter has pleasantly organized a
grand reception for the newly appointed Honourable Commissioner of Ministry of
Physical Planning and Urban Development TPL Dr. Idris SalaKo by the executive
governor of Lagos State Babajide Olusola Sanwo Olu at the Adeyemi Bero
Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking as the Nigerian Institute of Town Planning
Chairman, Lagos State Chapter, TPL Adebisi Adedire said that the reception
ceremony calls for joy because God Himself has given the institute privilege to
produce an honourable Commissioner for the state adding that they therefore
rejoice with TPL (Dr.) Salakoon on his appointment as the commissioner of
ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Speaking to the
audienceTPL. Adedire said that over the years, NITP Lagos State Chapter had
always organized a befitting reception to welcome any of her members appointed
into this exalted position in the state adding that they are really glad at this
befitting reception organize in the honour of TPL (Dr.) Salako. TPL Adedire
officially welcome the Commissioner into his new office and also appreciated
all and sundry who attended the reception.
Speaking again TPL. Adedire said all
their gratitude must go to God whom the Holy Bible says does as He pleases
adding that it has pleased the God to give them TPL Salako a devoted member of
the state chapter as the honourable commissioner of the ministry.
Speaking to
the audience TPL Adedire in his own words he said that ( I must say that
afterafter the commissioner and his immediate family, the happiestperson is me.
This is because God has answered my prayers.
My silent prayers had always been
God would give the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development a
Commissioner who will be our own, so that the desire of elevating the
profession and practice of Town Planning can be realized. TPL Salako who is also
the president ATOPCON has been part of the people who believe that the practice
of Town Planning particularly in LagosState can be better than the way it is
today.)
Many good will messages were rendered by some members of Town
Planners in praise and appreciation of their own TPL (Dr.) Salako. Prayers were
offered to God Himself on his behalf.
Speaking to the audience the newly
appointed Honourable Commissioner TPL (Dr.) Salako firstly thanked Almighty God
for His uncommon graces upon him, his old mother, his uncle, his children, his
workers and the entire Lagos state chapter of Town Planners for the honour
bestowed on him adding that he would not fail them in the discharge of his
duties as an honourable commissioner of the ministry of Physical Planning and
Urban Development, Lagos state.
AS NITP LAGOS STATE
CHAPTER DEDICATES AUGUST 2019 MEETING TO 60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
OF TPL TOYIN AYINDE.
The immediate past chairman of Lagos state chapter and the first National
vice President of NIPT, TPL Ayinde has gloriously and pleasantly climbed to the
club of Dimond age as he celebrated his 60th birthday with a lecture
put together by his own constituency Town Planners and the theme of the lecture
(Mentoring The Young Generation for Improved Professsional Sevice Delivery). 
The guest speaker, Mr. Bright Uk Ukwenga, leadership Development Consultant and
CEO Scrib – Tribe. The guest speaker Ukwenga did not disappoint the participants
with his lucid of presentations. He categorically dragged down his lecture on
children born from 1980 to 2000 as he branded them Milleninal – Boorners. Of a
truth he really took time to touch on all the overtsand cooverts actions of
mentoring the young generation.
His lecture actually stimulated the
participants that drove the lead
discussant and other discusssants to shed more lights on the subject matter.
When the discusssants rose from their submission, questions were fielded
by the particpants for more elucidations and of a truth, clearer elucidations
were dropped by the lead speaker Ukwenga. Thereafter the birthday celebration proper of TPL Ayinde took place with lots of activities.
The birthday boy TPL Ayinde gracefully showerd his appreciations to all and sundry for the uncommon honour bestowed upon him as he mounted the ladder of diamond age. He prayed for the c urrent chairman of NITP Lagos State TPL. Adedire to be in good health always so that he would be able to function optimally with work load of the Institute.
