ROTARY CLUB OF AJUWON ----- HON. BISI YUSUF.

as the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Ajuwon District 9110 Installation
Ceremony of RTN. Henry Folashade Akinbobola as the 26th President
(2019 – 2020) at the Rotary Centre, Ladoke Akintola Street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos,
Hon. Bisi Yusuf member Lagos State House of Assembly of Alimosho Constituency
01 pleasantly said that he would mobilize uncommon supports for the Rotary Club
of Ajuwon adding that the newly installed 26th President RTN.
Akinbobola is one of his disciples that are learning the streaks and principles
of leadership from his school of thoughts.
Speaking as the guest speaker Hon.
Yusuf who deftly handled the subject matter (Oversight functions of the
legislature: An Instrument for Nation Building) and of a truth Hon. Yusuf did
not disappoint the audience with his presentations. He said that Nigeria is
blessed nation with all the natural and human resources available adding that
unity is actually the instrument needed for development and sustainability. He
noted that despite the differences in Languages et’al that all Nigerians are
one. He noted that hate speeches would not bring peace and development to the
nation, adding that love, patience and unity in diversity are the tools for
nation building.
He
said that lots of Nigerians do largely think that oversight functions are meant
for legislative arms of Government, but, he quickly avers that oversight
functions are meant for all and sundry to function optimally within the
ambience of the laws of the land which would translate to good governance for
the public good and benefits for all Nigerians in all ramification adding that
all the tribes in Nigeria should respect one another for different gifts God
Himself has deposited in the land. He charged all and sundry to be law abiding
citizens at all times because according to him breaking the laws of the land
with impunity does not speak volume of nation building. He said that he would
support the Rotary Club of Ajuwon with a Million naira only projects as the
newly installed president Rtn. Akinbobola unfolds his projects for the rotary
year project plans.
Speaking
with the media the newly installed president Rtn. Akinbobola said that as 26th
President of Rotary Club of Ajuwon that has earmarked a budget of Twenty
Million naira only (N20, 000, 000. 00) for projects for the rotary club year of
(2019 – 2020) which would commence with free medical applications for the
citizenry of Alimosho in the month of October 2019 adding that he has lined up
other projects for months ahead for the public good and benefits of the
citizenry.
He said that he is actually a disciple of the guest speaker Hon.
Yusuf for some while because he and other disciples do largely believe in the
leadership streaks and principles of triple legislature representing Alimosho
constituency 01 of the Lagos State House of Assembly Hon. Yusuf. He says that
with the graces of God that his leadership as the 26th president of
Rotary Club of Ajuwon District 9110 that all the lined up projects would be
effectively and efficiently attained.
Speaking
with the media the District Governor of district 9110 of rotary club covering
Lagos and Ogun states Dr. Jide Akeredolu said that the district 9110 has mapped
out activities to handle the treatment of Cervical Cancer in the female folks
of the citizenry adding that 26 females died daily in Nigeria due to Cervical
Cancer disease as one female citizen passes on to death every 55 minutes in the
land owing to the excruciating Cervical Cancer. He said that Rotary Club of
district 9110 has concurred to attend to 10, 000 female citizenry with the
vaccine which he said it costs Eleven thousand naira only for an application of
vaccine would be done twice in a year which would cost the carriers Twenty –
two thousand naira only.
He says that the ministries of Health of Lagos and
Ogun states had concurred to parley with them in the discharge of this
humanitarian streaks to female folks who unfortunately are those who suffer
Cervical Cancer. He said that a cancer disease in the United States of America
had concurred to parley with them in this regards.
The
installation ceremony of Rtn. Akinbobola witnessed the induction of Board Members
as well as 20 million fund raising for the club projects 2019 / 2021 rotary
year.
