WE HAVE TO PROMOTE OUR BRANDS TO THE
WORLD – MRS. BOLADELE THOMAS

Speaking with Journalists at the
Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos the Permanent Secretary of the
Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment of Lagos State Government Mrs.
Bolade Thomas said that they have to promote their brands to the world as she
concurred that nobody promotes anyone except if the owners of the concepts and
brands do largely promote themselves to the world so that the entire peoples of
the globe would know of such brands and begin to patronise them effectively and
efficiently.
Speaking further with journalists the Permanent Secretary of the
Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment said that the stand point is to
showcase the various brands made by the CEOs to largely have access to open
markets where consumers would patronise them effectively and efficiently there
by creating more wealth for them.
Speaking further she said that the Ministry
of Wealth Creation and Employment of Lagos State Government was created in the
year 2015, a relatively new ministry, but, that the ministry has been able to
create avenues for Lagosians and Nigerians to be trained in various skills
acquisitions as she pointed out the Mac 89 Xperience fashion shows run way that
all and sundry attended.
She said that about 66 Associations registered with
the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment of Lagos State Government and that
the ministry had added more value chains and changes to the participants as
evidently showcased by Chief Executives Officers (CEOs) of fashion designs out
fits to the audience adding that the very outfit she wore was one the brands
their beneficiary designed and of a truth the Permanent Secretary looked
trendy, beautiful and resplendently.
She said they trained their participants
and at the end of the training the ministry starts up the participants with
flexible grants or loans to start up his or her business and by so doing wealth
are created alongside with employment.
She said that the Ministry of Wealth
Creation and Employment of Lagos State Government would continue to create
opportunities for all and sundry to be assisted with skills acquisitions so
that unemployment in the land would be drastically reduced to lowest ebb adding
that Mr. Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo – Olu has made it a point of priority
to see that all and sundry are gainfully engaged productively in all
ramifications.
Speaking with journalists Mrs.
Ikediashi, the young mother of Mac 89 Xperience team leader Michael Ikediashi
said that she felt very gladdened for her son Chiamaka Ikediashi and other
Chief Executives Officers who paraded their various brands and styles through
the models that did the run way fashion display adding that the God of Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob shall continue to bless all the personnel of the Ministry of
Wealth Creation and Employment.
She also prayed for Mr. Governor Sanwo – Olu,
his family and that of his deputy governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat for God’s
blessing upon their lives.
She also appreciated to Ministry of Wealth Creation
and Employment to continue to assist the down trodden masses of the society so
that the youths would be off the streets for productiveness.
Speaking with
journalists one-time editor of the defunct News week of Daily Times of Nigeria,
also a husband to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Wealth Creation
and Employment of Lagos State Government Mr. Dapo Thomas also a father to one
of the CEOs that showcased their various brands to gathering said that he is
pleasantly gladdened for all the participants who showcased their various
designs to the audience through models who did cat walks on the run way adding
that he commended the government of Lagos state through the Ministry of Wealth
Creation and Employment who has been very much helpful in developing the youths
who participated at Mac 89 Xperience 2020 fashion shows.
Speaking again he said that the money
bags in the land should also invest their wealth in the areas of assisting the
youths with specialised skills acquisition so that the teaming youths could be
off the streets for productiveness as he added that these money bags should
emulate what Tony Elumelu Foundation is doing with entrepreneurial skills
acquisitions and starts up grants and loans for the beneficiaries.
He said that
if the teaming youths are productively engaged that most crimes committed by
them would have been avoided as he said that an idle mind is a devil’s
workshop.
He tells the participants to be prayerful, focused and invest wisely
in their different offices so that they too could help the government to reduce
the long line of unemployment of youths in the land. Speaking with journalists
the team leader of Mac 89 Xperience fashion shows 2020 Chiamaka Ikediashi said
that he and his colleagues are gratefully thankful to the Mr. Governor Sanwo –
Olu and his entire cabinet team for the programmes available and fundable for
all those the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment dutifully trained in
various skills acquisition.
He profusely thanked the principal officers of the
ministry that specially nurtured them for what they had done at Mac 89
Xperience 2020 at the Fashion shows run way.
He said that about 20 CEOs finally
participated at the fashion shows run way as he said that about 30 models of
males, females and children modelled for the Fashion shows run way with various
CEOs designers.
He appealed to the Lagos state government to take the skills
acquisition to the grass roots, also make the grants and loans more flexible
and as well as more training for the participants.
Speaking with journalists the
Managing Director of Nases Fashion Collection Sesan Shittu said that he is
pleasantly happy with the administration of Mr. Governor Sanwo – Olu who
provided the platform to learn the fashion skills acquisition through the
Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment.
He said that there are lots of
challenges facing them most especially power outrages which largely affects
their production level. He again appeals to the powers be that there should be
more trainings for the participants and loans issues should be made more
flexible to operate with.
Speaking with
Iconblazemagazineonlineportal the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rotevogue
Byayomide, Ayomide Olujide said that she is really gladdened to be one of the
participants that came on board on the Mac 89 Xperience 2020 Fashion shows run
way, as she said that the event is an eye opener for her, and with what she had
seen, that she can do better in future.
She said that business is not easy
owing to power outrages from time to time and despite of all challenges she
passes through, she still appreciates the government of Lagos state through the
Ministry Wealth Creation and Employment for all they have done for them. She
also appeals to the power that be to make loans much easier and flexible for
them she concludes that no one goes without monies.
