NSYA Gives Dangote 48hours Ultimatum to Reverse The Price of Cement

The Nigerian Students and Youths Association, Edo State has given Alico Dangote 48 hours ultimatum to reverse the price of cement to a price that the down trodden masses would be able to pay at point of purchase. Speaking to the general public the national spokesmen of Nigerian Students and Youths Association. (NYSA) Osemudiamen Ogbidi said that Dangote cement which all the raw materials for the production are sourced from Okpella cement factory, Okpella, Edo State has to be affordable price adding that its really saddening and excoriating for the down trodden masses to purchase a bag of cement at four thousand naira only.
Speaking to the general public at the front of first bank opposite Museum, Ring Road, Benin City, Edo State, Ogbidi said that there are two sets laws in Nigeria adding that north is more favoured with good workable policies while the laws that charmed out for the south are really devastating and hopeless.
Ogbidi graphically analyzed the precautions times Nigerians are passing through as he lamented the untold hardships that are staggering in the faces of all and sundry. He said that there are no basic infrastructure in the land, as there is no security for the people, no education, no employments, no health care service facilities, in short, ogbidi said that everything is in shamble.
Speaking again to the general public at the front of Edo State house assembly, Chief Anthony Enahoro Complex Kings Square, Benin City, National Spokesmen of Nigerian Students and Youths Association, NYSA Edo State said that as the new speaker of Edo State house of Assembly, he charges His Excellency, Executive Governor of Edo State. Mr. Godwin Obaseki to largely wake up from his deep slumber and begin to provide the dividends of democracy for all and sundry adding that the elected representatives should not see themselves more powerful than the electorate that elected them. Speaking further to the general public Ogbidi said that there has to be a price control board that is to regulate the prices of all items in the open markets for end users.
He said that they are not afraid to die for worthy cause for the public good of all and sundry adding that if Dangote does not adhere to 48 hours ultimatum given to him that by Wednesday, 24 March, 2021 that the entire Nigerian Students and Youths would be mobilized to go to bypass expressway to halt any Dangote trucks conveying cements into Edo State and other South East zone.
He said that their peaceful March is all about save Nigerian soul from Dangote exploitation of 100% increment in the price of cement must be speedily reversed 100% adding that Dangote trucks must halt killing Nigerians with impunity as well as end all forms of monopoly and also allow competition in the cement market. He noted “enough is enough”.
Speaking with journalists Comrade Ikehi Lawrence former President of students union Government, Well Spring University, Benin City, Edo State as well as the Director of Welfare of Nigerian students and Youths Association, Edo State said that it is really disheartening saddening, excruciating and extremely painful for the sufferings, the citizenry are experiencing on a daily basis in Nigeria adding that there has to be price mechanism in the entire country so that life would be livable and more meaningful all and sundry.
The peaceful March of NYSA is a collaboration with God Sent Foundation, One Love Foundation, Talakawa Parliament and members of these coalition match round the entire Ring Road with their banner saying that “Dangote is a Africa poorest man”
