Nigeria is Gradually Killing Her Children Slowly, Painfully, Dangerously.

Thursday, April Twenty-Two, Two Thousand and Twenty-One I was going to Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Edo State Council Secretariat Oba Oguola Press Centre No. 1, Reservation Road, G.R.A, Benin City, Edo State I decided to charge my phone at one of the shops at Winners Shopping Complex, Akara junction, Power Line, Second Ugbor, Abuja Quarters, G.R.A, Benin City, Edo State.

As I plugged my phone for charging and I decided to seat down at the African Kitchen Bar operated by one Shola and as I sat down I saw three young Nigerian men and they were discussing the problems of Nigeria as a Country and I saluted them with warm greetings. As I sat down I began to listen to what they were discussing and one of them called Kingsley Esebor Akhigbe said that if he has a son who is a professional footballer playing in any of the clubs abroad that he will never concur for the son to come down to represent Nigeria in any tournaments whether local or international adducing that if his son sustains injuries that the government of Nigeria will not be responsible enough to invest in the treatment and welfare of his son thereby Nigeria will gradually, slowly, painfully and dangerously destroy the bright career of his son.

 He argued that the foreign governments do largely know how to take care of their citizens, but, he avers that the reverse is the case in Nigeria issues. He swore that he did not know why God created him to be a Nigerian because he says that Nigeria has punished him in all ramifications. And at this juncture I did as him why is he so piqued about the Nation Nigeria and pronto he opened up the gallery of his faculties and he painfully narrated his unpleasant experiences since he returned from abroad having sojourned for 31years running the breath and the length of the streets of the cities he spends some 3 decades and one to eke a means of livelihood for himself and his family. He lamented that if he had been clearly told what will befall him if he returns to his father’s land Nigeria that he would have preferred to remain as a diaspora citizen adducing that all the hard earned currencies he came back with had flowed away from his pockets.

 He lamented heavily that Nigeria is gradually killing her children slowly, painfully and dangerously as there is heavy inflation in the land. He continued to say that the inflationary rates in the system are so alarming that prices of staple food items in the open markets are heavily above the roof tops. He continues to reel out that everybody is largely affected with the gradual, slow, painful and dangerous manner with which Nigeria is killing her children. The other three persons with Akhigbe are Ohi Idonje, Victor  Okeke and Gabriel Odiaha and Ohi Idonje made so many useful submissions of how he sees Nigeria not working out productively, objectively, superlatively, effectively, efficiently et’al.

He lamented with heavy pains and sadness in his voice and all over his sensibilities. In fact, he gave a deep sigh of concern of his generations of Nigerians who had everything working out constructively for them when they were younger but he sadly said that the present crops of leaders are the helm of affairs have wickedly, visionlessly misruled the Nation. Victor Okeke and Gabriel Odiaha also added their voices as the brain storming continued in a very painful application as they also too towed the lines Akhigbe and Ohi Idonje submitted. But to come to think of it they all agreed that the President of United States of America Joe Biden is a qualified Lawyer, the President of Russia Valdimire Putin is also a qualified Lawyer, the former female President of German Mrs. Angela Merkel is also a qualified Economist but they all hissed when they said the so called President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari is having a case of missing certificate of West African Examination Council and from their points of analysis the President of Nigeria does not have the indices to pragmatically marshal out workable ideas and ideals to steer the economy aright  and positively. 

Time and space will continually dwarf any academic and intellectual fora where the issues of how Nigeria could pleasantly halt the killings of her children gradually, slowly, painfully and dangerously.
