did a survey of the unbelievable high cost of spar parts in the land and as a result
of this unbelievable prices of spare parts, he met with the current chairman of
New Motor Spare Parts Market Evbareke Quarters, Benin City, Egor Local
Government Area, Edo State Comrade Omoruyi Odiase who bares his viewpoints on
the current hash cost of spare parts.
Speaking
with iconblazemagazineonline the chairman of New Motor Spare Parts Market Comrade
Odiase stated that the breakdown of the economy indices has largely affected
the rising cost of spare parts in the land adding that there are many factors
militating around the unbelievable prices of spare parts, as he added that
there are very few importers who now import spare parts into the country.
Speaking again with iconblazemagazineonline he stated the cost of clearing imported spare parts are also above the roof tops as he concurs that this factor also affects the prices when finally cleared from the wharfs and Tin car Island, Lagos. He said that the custom officials along Lagos – Benin Express Way are also making life very difficult for them the dealers of spare parts adding that the dealers are selling to the final consumers, the way they too bought from the importers. He says that they the dealers are extremely shocked and surprised at the rate of the high cost of spare parts in the land adding that they the dealers are also feeling the pains because the rate of patronage has drastically declined.
He stated
that they pay taxes to the state and local governments and yet the government
is not helping the matter for them as he added that the only time they feel
government Prescence is always when it is electioneering period and once the
election is done and concluded that the government would never come to them
until another four years, which he pragmatically condemned in all ramifications.
Speaking
with iconblazemagazineonline the Financial Secretary of the New Motor spare
Parts Market, Evbareke Quarters, Benin City, Egor Local Government Area, Edo
State, Comrade Chuks Igwe stated that their union is raising her voice in
thanking His Excellency the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki
for rehabilitating the Textile Mills Road, Benin City which has made the flow
of traffic very easy and fast adding that their union would be uncommonly
gladdened if the government could religiously and pragmatically attend to their
needs as in improving their welfare in all fronts.
