URHOGHIDE EMPOWERS ELECTORATE WITH GENERATOR SETS, TRICYCLES, BIKES, SEWING MACHINES, GRINDING MACHINES

Monday, 30^th August, 2021 will be eternally remembered by the electorate of Edo South Senatorial District comprising seven Local Government Areas as the distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Matthew Urhoghide has pleasantly and unimaginably empowered the electorate with 42 tricycles, 400 sewing machines, 200 generators, 280 grinding machines and 200 motorcycles at the fourth edition of his empowerment programmes to the electorate of his senatorial zone.

 

Speaking with journalists Senator Urhoghide stated that he wishes to touch as many people’s living conditions as the Almighty father have given him graces to carry on adding that he does not believe in dashing monies to electorate, but, rather, he said that he prefers to empower them so that they themselves can begin to assist others in the nearest future.

 

He says that the empowerment programme did kick start in 2016, and it did continue in 2017, 2018, 2019, but, that 2020 covid-19 pandemic affected the empowerment exercise. He says that everyone in his senatorial zone is considered for the empowerment exercise adding that it is not based on political leanings as he added that once the beneficiaries is an electorate that the committee considers such a person.

 

He says, that those that are beneficiaries at this fourth edition empowerment programme will not be considered for the fifth upcoming edition in 2022 by the grace of God.

Speaking with journalists Director Economic Empowerment Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Abuja Ndiomu Ebigeh Philip stated that he is representing the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs at the fourth edition of the distinguished Senator and Chairman, Public Accounts Committee at NASS Urhoghide adding that the large-hearted Senator Urhoghide has been delivering dividends of democracy to the down trodden masses within his Senatorial Zone.

 

Speaking with some of the beneficiaries – Hon. Nosa Osawe former member Advisory Committee to Egor Local Government Area, Edo State stated that his joys are running over because of the kind gesture the distinguished Senator Urhoghide has bestowed to him and others who benefited from the fourth edition of 2021 Senator Uhroghide empowerment programme. He prayed for him that God Himself will bestow upon him good health all that.

 

Hon. Osawe got a generator set, Comrade Chief Odion Olaye the National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW Chairman who benefited a motor bike, generator set and grinding machine stated that he is pleasantly happy with himself and as well as with the stouthearted Senator Urhoghide who has gathered all the people’s, regardless of their tribes for the fourth edition of his empowerment programmes adding that his prayers for him is that God will protect and provide for him always.

 

Again, Chief Foster Odigie of Ovia North East Local Government Area stated that his joys are overwhelming with the empowerment of motor bike as he prays for Senator Urhoghide for God to keep him safe and sound. Erhunmwunse Felix another beneficiary of motor bike says that he will eternally be grateful to God and Senator Urhoghide for this kind gesture bestowed to him.

 

Chief Ajayi Oliha Usen raised his voice in all appreciations for the motor bike he is empowered with by Senator Urhoghide and he prayed to God to keep him safe and sound always. Hon Peter Ekhator got a generator set and he said that he is actually thankful to God and Senator Urhoghide. Mukhtari Osagie the Leader of PUWOV benefited a tricycle and he says that he is pleasantly grateful to God and Senator Urhoghide who has come out to uplift electorate from poverty with the empowerment programme who gathered 2,122 beneficiaries with various items.
