NIGERIAN CORRECTIONAL SERVICE STANDS STILL FOR LATE ACP ONWUEMENE

BY LEO EZEKIEL

The Nigerian Correctional Service stood still for late Dr. Anthony Richard Eloke Onwuemene a.k.a Chief Omanyan Retired Assistant Controller of Prisons whom his junior colleagues paid a gallant homage and a para military parade in his honour. His colleagues lined filed his white coloured casket with salute where they placed his service black shoes, green beret cap, green belt and a flag on his casket and twenty one guns were shot into the air in his honour.

The para military parade attracted all and sundry to his country home at Udo Quarters, Ubulu-Uku Kingdom, Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State because many of the persons at his funeral ceremonies have never seen or witnessed such a para military parade for a departed colleague.

The entire funeral ceremonies of Late Retired Assistant Controller of Prisons Dr. Onwuemene proved that he actually retired meritoriously and unimaginably from the Nigeria Correctional Service because some street urchins and good for nothing human beings from his village have always branded that he was dismissed from service ingloriously.

The advertisement of seven up drink is that the difference is clear and the entire citizenry of Udo Community have now seen that Late Dr. Anthony Richard Eloke Onwuemene a.k.a Chief Omanya pleasantly and uncommonly served his father land Nigeria.
He passed on to eternal glory at the age of 71 years.

We of the iconblazemagazineonline do join his children, his siblings, his relatives, his friends and well-wishers in thanksgiving to the celestial heavenly hosts that he graciously attained three scores and ten as the holy scripture says but in his own case he added an extra one year grace into his life thereby bringing his entire life into three scores and eleven.
