EDO STATE GOVERNOR OBASEKI SHOWERS ENCOMIUMS AT COWLSO MEMBERS

Speaking as the special guest of honour at the 21^st National Women’s Conference 2021 at the Eko Convention Centre of Eko Hotels and Suites of plot 1415, Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. 

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Edo State Mr. Godwin Obaseki through the Attorney General and Honourable Chief Justice of Edo state, Chief Oluwole Iyamo showers encomiums at the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials COWLSO as he formally brings the three days 21^st National Women’s Conference 2021 to a pleasant close adding that the three days which did begin on Tuesday, 26^th October and ran till Thursday, 28^th October 2021. 

Speaking further to the gathering, he states that the entire peoples of Edo state are really gladdened to associate themselves with the entire citizenry of Lagos State, adding that he was born at Animashaun Street, Masha, Surulere, Lagos State as he also added he is a Lagos homeboy. He particularly praised the first lady of Lagos state, Dr. Mrs Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo Olu for her visions in Championing the cause of improving the lots of her fellow women folks in all spheres of life adding that the three days 21^st National Women’s Conference has gathered women from the 36 states of the federation and beyond the shores of Nigeria.

He states that Lagos state is technically different from all other states of the federation as the Internal Generated Revenues (IGR) of Lagos state in one month would take Edo state one year to garner adding that he personally asked his brother Attorney General of Lagos State to offer the document which they signed into Law on Value Added Tax VAT so that they in Edo State would understand the said documents so as to know what they should do in Edo state. 

He states that Lagos State is uncommon role model to Edo state and that they the people of Edo state government functionaries would do a study retreat to Lagos state so that they too would learn from her how to work out the indices of good governance and after his well researched submissions, he formally declared the event closed to the glory of God Abba father.

Speaking to the gathering, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Lagos state, Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu pleasantly and uncommonly thanked his brother Governor of Edo State Mr. Obaseki for accepting the invite of COWLSO to officially declare the 21^st National Women’s Conference closed adding that he also commended the efforts of all members of COWLSO for a brilliant and amazing 2021 National Women’s Conference that gathered scholarly speakers and facilitators. 

He thanked the mother of the nation Dr. (Mrs) Aishat Buhari and other first ladies of various states for finding out time to be with COWLSO for three working days adding that his administration has uncommon love for women hence about 65% of all the ministries in Lagos State have women manning top flight positions. 

He particularly doffed his cap for his spouse and the spouse of Deputy Governor for the mutual understanding and synergy they both employed in making assurance double sure that the 21^st National Women’s Conference 2021 records huge successes.

Speaking to the audience, the first lady of Lagos state, Dr. Mrs Sanwo Olu states that she is giving all the praises and adorations to God Abba Father for all the blessings he have showered them all through the planning stages of the event and as well as protecting and providing for all the COWLSO members and participants from all walks of life as she uncommonly appreciated all the amazing speakers facilitators, Technical hands, members of the fourth estate of the realm, comperes, security operatives, the vendors who took exhibition stands, and above all the heavily first ladies of other states, but she singled out the first lady of Kwara state. 

She also commended the personnel that interpreted all the speakers spoke to the audience, for instance the interpreter in Igbo language, Yoruba dialect and Hausa dialect.

In today’s closing ceremony, two medical doctors, Olawunmi Esan Sex Therapy and Coaching and Dr. Veronica Ayo Vaughan Iwayenu pragmatically took the audience on sexual pleasure and sexuality, family planning, womanhood and nation building. And, of a truth, these eggheads never disappointed the audience with their cerebral elucidations on sexual activities among women folks and Girl child. 

They did spend a great deal of time showcasing the inherent dangers of mothers not discussing the issues of sex with their daughters as they both added that because of most young girls are never told the implications of sex and all that is associated with sex, most of these young teenagers wrongly get pregnant and some of them are affected with deadly diseases. 

They submitted that mothers should as matter of all honesty and responsibility be bold and free to educate their daughters all about sexuality and by so doing many mistakes will be averted by both the mothers and the girl child. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, the General Secretary of COWLSO Mrs Yewande Olorunrinu states that the 21^st National Women’s Conference is actually amazing and heavily productive as the ceremony gathered various pundits as speakers and facilitators which did not disappoint the participants who came to be educated with the modern day trappings of new normal for the developments of the women folks. She states that she believes that by the grace of God come 2022, which will be hosting the 22^nd National Women’s Conference that, that will be more productive, educative, entertaining and all that. 

She pleasantly raised her cap for her bosses the first lady of Lagos state and her twin sister, the spouse of the Deputy Governor of Lagos state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat for the outstanding roles they deployed when the whole event was in planning stages. Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline the Assistant General Secretary of National Working Committee of COWLSO and also the egghead that raised the bar of the communiqué at the end of the 3days 21^st National Women’s Conference organized by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) Mrs Olajumoke Saliu who states that three days event has come and gone, but, that the memories and ideals that all participants have inferred from the lectures delivered by various speakers and facilitators would not be forgotten in a hurry adding that the conference has in actual sense open up the mentality of all the participants because many human interest lectures were scholarly delivered. 

She also commended the leadership of COWLSO and as well as heavily praised the He for She governor of Lagos state Mr. Sanwo Olu who has effectively and efficiently have the cause of women in his heart and his administration.

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, one of the exhibitors, Folashade Emle states that COWLSO 21^st National Women’s Conference has afforded her the opportunities to meeting wide spectrum of other exhibitors as they all have exchanged telephone numbers, email addresses. 

She did send a powerful message to the leadership of COWLSO, that they did not do ample advertisements mostly through social media adding that the leadership of COWLSO should actually wake up from her deep slumber hence the theme of this year event is “Awake” so that by the grace of God the 22^nd National Women’s Conference of 2022 would be well advertised on social media et al.

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, another exhibitor Frances Anumba the CEO of KAINES states that she has really enjoyed the three days of exhibiting her wares on stand, though she says that patronages are low, but, however, she agrees that the conference has afforded her uncommon opportunities of meeting numerous exhibitors with different ideas and ideals and she also says that she has met new contacts that would give her business a big push in the future.

She wishes the leadership of COWLSO to improve on all areas of communications. In wrapping up the event to a close, the spouse of Deputy Governor of Lagos state gave the vote of thanks that all and sundry was appreciated for the different roles everyone played.
