HRM OBA EWUARE II CONFERS POST HUMOUS CHIEFTAINCY TITLE ON HIS LATE MOTHER, OMO N’ IKUOYEMWEN IYE OBA EWUARE II

His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin Kingdom confers post humous Chieftaincy title Omo N’ Ikuoyemwen Iye Oba Ewuare II on his late mother who joined her forebears in the year 1976, the post humous chieftaincy celebrations gathered all the sons and daughters of Bini Kingdom at the Palace of Oba Ewuare II at Kings Square Oredo Local Government Area, Benin City, Edo State. 

At about 2:30pm on Sunday 21^st November, 2021 His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II who decked out in an uncommon regalia of royalty and his subjects came out for a royal procession to the aged long shrine at the red mud house and they spent about three hours at the shrine where some core traditions, cultures were performed, while he was at the shrine performing the core traditions and cultures some traditional high chiefs walked down the length and breath of the Palace praising their Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II. Finally, at about 5:30pm His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II and his subjects came out from the shrine and he returns to his chambers all the daughters of Benin Kingdom in unionism rose up and sang deep rooted cultural songs in honour of their father HRM Oba Ewuare II. 

Speaking with iconblazemagazineonline the president of Enigie Wives Association Barr. Mrs. Stella Aigbe states that HRM Oba Ewuare II had made the entire women folk proud with the post humous chieftaincy title conferment he pleasantly bestowed on his late beloved mother with the title Omo N’Ikuoyemwen, Iye Oba Ewuare II adding that HRM Oba Ewuare II has heavy love and respect for women folk and she says that they shall always raise their voices in prayers to God to continue to protect him and his immediate family members. 

Speaking with iconblazemagazineonline His Royal Highness Osagumuwenra Eki Eresoyem Enogie Uhogua of Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State states that the conferment of Omo N’Ikuoyemwen Iye Oba Ewuare II is a show of love the Oba has for his late mother adding that with this ceremony the Oba Ewuare II has also shown that women are to be respected, cherished and loved regardless the oddities women pull up at times with. 

Speaking with iconblazemagazineonline Chief Charles Edosomwan SAN states that despite the beloved later mother of His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II died many decades ago, because this chieftaincy title was supposed to have been conferred at her while she was alive but because her son was not yet coronated as the Oba the conferment was not made then.

But now, since providence has been bestowed on her son as the Oba of the Benin Kingdom, he deems it fit and necessary to honour his mother with the chieftaincy title Omo N’Ikuoyemwen adding that nobody would blame the workings of the heavens. 

He states that Oba Ewuare II has demonstrated his love for his late mother and women all over the globe, the turning point of the event is when Oba Ewuare II and his subjects travelled to five junctions near Uselu Edaiken Palace to unveil the huge statue of his beloved mother to the admiration of all and sundry.
