Obaseki Earmarks Iruekpen-Sabongidda-Ora, Sobe- Sabongidda Ora Roads for Re-construction

 Speaking as the Executive Governor of Edo state His Excellency Mr. Godwin Obaseki at the floor of Edo state House of Assembly Anthony Enaharo house, Ring road, Benin City states that Iruekpen Sabongidda-Ora, Sobe-Sabongidda Ora roads shall be re-constructured in no distant time as Sobe and Sabongidda Ora roads are both in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo state. Governor Obaseki made the disclosure on the floor of the Edo state House of Assembly when he did present the 2022 budget to Assembly members for considerations and approval adding that ₦30 billion would be spent on improving roads and bridges, while ₦21 billion for building more physical infrastructure and maintaining existing ones. 

Speaking further, he states that on completion of all going road projects in the state as he did assure citizenry that his administration remains committed to infrastructure developments across the state. 

Speaking in his words (our commitment to infrastructure renewal remains steadfast in the new financial year, we have budgeted ₦30 billion to improve roads and bridges and ₦21 billion for building more physical infrastructure and maintaining the existing one. 

He did enumerate some achievements of his administration in terms of infrastructural developments in the last one year. Again speaking in his own words (We have in the last one year, awarded contracts for 150 roads project spread across the three senatorial zones of the state adding that these included roads linking towns as well as small township and inter-city roads. 


While work is ongoing, our contractors have had to grapple with the adverse impact of the rainy season). Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline Hon. Felix Omokodion states that the budget of 2022 which the Executive Governor of Edo state did present on the floor of Edo state House of Assembly is a budget of Hope adding that all budgets promise healthiness of the economy, however, he averred that the benefits of 2022 budget would come to the citizenry when it is actually operated distributively to all sectors.
