Lagos State PDP Holds Congress

The Lagos State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has held her state congress at the Haven Event Centre near Archbishop Vinnig Cathedral, Ikeja, Lagos on a Sunday 27^th February 2022.

The Congress accreditation exercise of delegates did take place at Oduduwa Police command for security reasons and when the accreditation exercise is completed, the delegates would be ferried from Oduduwa Police Command Ikeja, Lagos to the Haven Event Centre for the proper delegates elections of the officers that would man the affairs of the Lagos State people’s Democratic Party before 2023 general elections. 

Speaking with Iconblaze Magazine Online Hon Idera Comfort Shodino, aka Idesku, Ideranijoo, Shodipo ni jare of Ifako Iyaiye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Lagos and an aspirant for the house of Federal House of Representatives come 2023 general elections, she pleasantly and pragmatically stated the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of Lagos State has marshaled out better ideas to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the government house, Marina, Lagos adding that the rulership of the APC government in the State has woefully failed all and sundry within the entire space, breath and length of the Lagos. 

Speaking further she says that PDP leadership in Lagos State would adequately position herself for the purposes of sacking APC from Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, Lagos after the general elections of 2023. She says that her purposes and reasons of putting herself to run for the position of the Federal House of Representatives is to put smiles and comforts on their faces of commoners within the society adding that the whole essence of Federal House of Representatives  is to enact laws that will make life livable and meaningful for the citizenry. 

Speaking again with Iconblazemagazineonline, she states that she has a foundation known as Idera Shodipo Foundation (ISF) with which she has been using to put smiles and comfortability on the faces of the citizenry adding that Almighty Yahweh have created her to lend a helping hand to the less privilege people of the society. As at this press time the People’s Democratic Party congress is still handling the accreditation exercise of delegates and voting proper has not commenced. From the look of things, the congress will run into Monday February 28^th 2022 before winners shall be declared by the electoral officers who came from Abuja to mid wife the congress. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, Hon. Moses Olabanji of Shomolu Local Government Area Lagos states that he is bringing himself for the position of the House of Assembly come 2023 general elections, adding that he has tested his popularity in the last local government chairmanship election where he ran for the councillorship post for his ward in Bariga. 

He states that in the said election that he garnered over 500 votes and as a result of the experimentation that he is quite sure that if he finally emerges as the candidate for the position of Lagos State House Assembly, that he believes that victory shall be his.
