Our School Prepared Us For A Great Future-Hon. Babatunde

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, the Governor LAFRO 77, Hon. Semiu Babatunde states that their great school LAFROGRAMS pragmatically, effectively, efficiently, objectively, academically et’al prepared them for a great future all of them had experienced since 1977 they all did leave school adding that they had grown in leaps and bounds in their various chosen careers. Speaking again he states that he himself retired from the Punch newspaper as an Editor some years ago as he is now in a private business. 

The Governor 77 Hon. Babtunde states that the LAFRO 77 Family Reunion is a very unique gathering of the best egg heads that Lagos African Church Grammar School Hall, Ifako-Ijaiye, Agege, Lagos has graciously and unimaginably molded them into great personages they have turned out in the last 45 years the from the four walls of LAFROGRAMS cut her teeths in the course of molding them for the tasks ahead. 

He states that the great LAFRO’77 Family Reunion has a theme (Family Bounding, Recipe For Societal Growth and Development adding that the theme is very apt because things are really becoming extremely and exceedingly difficult and incoherently dangerous situations in the body polity of the nation hence they need to a Family Bounding for the benefits of all and sundry. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, the guest Lecturer Head, Retail Business, Capital Express Assurance Limited, Mr Ayo Ogunkeye states that his Lectures dwelled on retirement plans for the members of LAFRO’77 set adding that some of them are in their late 50s and mid 60s, thereby they need to plan to take up life insurance policies that will take care of them when their legs will be too heavy to carry them around. He states that during Covid-19 hopelessness that ravaged the entire globe that those with insurance policies never suffered cash shortages. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, Otunba Moses Oluwole Paul (MOP) states that their family reunion gathering is a very healthy one adding that the gathering has given great deal of opportunities for classmates to meet with themselves physically since they left school in the year 1977. He states that their set grandaunds have actually lept in leaves and bounds as some of them had become Deputy Governors, Ministers, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries of various Ministries et’al adding that their school positively prepared them for what they are now doing by the grace of Almighty Yahweh. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline Gbenga Olowojare aka Sambisa Forest, one of the awardees states that their old school has actually progressed in all ramifications with modern state of art buildings adorned the entire compound adding that the very venue their family reunion gathering holding today  was a great forest when they were students between 1973-1977. 

He states that his set of 1977 has contributed tremendously to the growth and development of the school since they passed out in the year 1977. Speaking further, Olowojare says that the present students of the school are towing the good steps they towed 45 years ago adding that their school inculcated disciplines and industry into them uncommonly. He says that they have provided computers and ceiling fans for the school so as to make learning more conducive and effective. 

The family reunion gathering witnessed the launching of their constitution with good mien and candour and as well as given out two posthumous awards to their first Principal Chief Babatunde Bankole and their English Literature Teacher Chief Olaiwola Owade whom his spouse and his son received on his behalf Hon. Bamidele Obadinor a member of Federal House of Representatives also received award for the pragmatic roles, he has personally rendered back to the institution that prepared him for life. Good Studentship begins with dressing up well and responsibly. The family Reunion of class of 1977 took place at Olayide Adeoluwa Memorial Hall.
