We Are A Socio-Cultural Group, Not Political- President General High Chief Eze

Speaking as the President General of Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos at a press conference at their Secretariat Okalawon, Ajayi Street, Surulere, Lagos with the title “Nigeria at Crossroads”: Getting it Right for a Peaceful and United Country”, High Chief Cyril Sunday Eze states that they are a socio-cultural group and not political adding that as the 2023 General Elections draw closer every day that they have roles to play to determine who emerges as the next President of Nigeria. Speaking further to the members of the fourth estate of the realm he states that they have no Presidential Candidate in mind adding that they did not need monies for them rather they the presidential candidates should pragmatically, efficiently, effectively, objectively and assiduously understand the aspirations and yearnings of Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos and as he also added that they have so many unemployed graduates that walk the lengths and breadths of streets of Lagos in search of employments. Speaking further to media men and women, the President General of Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos states that their people are faithfully and graciously registering for their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) adding that their market leaders have been advised to close their shops, stalls et’al so that can they obtain their PVCs. 

He stated that the security operatives shall work intadem with the INEC Personnel so that electorate should largely come out to cast their votes on election dates and he also added that the issue of security in the South East is not exceptional because there is rising insecurity cases everywhere in the republic as he averred that the advance team of President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB) was attacked by unknown gunmen along Katsina expressway on Tuesday July 5^th, 2022. 

Speaking further to the gathering he says that no Igbo man or woman has ever occupied the highest position in Nigeria adding that they too as a people, that they have desires to occupy the exalted seat of Presidency. Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, Hon. Ebenezer Ken Obioma the youth Leader Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos and also a candidate of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) for the Green Chambers at NASS Abuja, for Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency states that he has heard that the Leaders of Tomorrow are the youths, but, unfortunately the youths are not the ones calling the shots at decision making tables. 

Speaking further with Iconblazemagazineonline, Hon. Obioma states that if by the grace of Almighty Yahweh and he wins the election into the Green Chambers of NASS Abuja, come 2023 general elections that he has lined up many empowerment streaks for the electorate of Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency adding that the dividends of democracy shall be pragmatically made available to the citizenry of Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency. 

Speaking further with Iconblazemagazineonline, Hon. Obioma states that he has personally making out time and efforts so that the citizenry get their PVCs ready for the election adding that the PVCs is the only legal instrument that allows the citizenry to cast their votes for the candidates of their choices et’al.
