AN EVENING OF FLOOD GATES OF TESTIMONIES IN HONOUR OF HON. UYIGUE

The Gloria Gardens Commercial Avenue, G.R.A, Benin-City, Edo State hosted the tributes and service of songs of Hon. Sunny Aiguobarueghian Uyigue J.P. In rendering the floodgates of testimonies in his honour former distinguished Senator of the Red Chamber NASS, Abuja Senator Rowland Owie stated that Late Hon. Uyigue was one uncommon personality who spoke truths to the powers that be regardless of whose OX is gored adding that both of them crossed paths many decades ago.

Speaking again to the gathering former distinguished Senator Owie of the Federal Republic of Nigeria states that Late Hon. Uyigue was a man with a large hearts that gave out his resources to all and sundry that came his way while he was alive adding that he wishes his children to pleasantly emulate the unblemished legacies their father left behind for humanity. 

Speaking to the audience of worshippers of Abehe Baptist Church et’al Prof Dominic Osaghai the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Modic Medical Centre Benin- City states that Late Hon Uyigue and he related like a father and a son adding that the Late Hon. Uyigue was fundamentally responsible for the purchase of the land where he built his Medical Centre and he also added that when the land opportunity came up that he had no monies, but, that Hon Uyigue encouraged him to make first initial payment.

 Speaking further Prof. Osaghai states that he gradually spread the balance payments on the recipes Hon. Uyigue did present for him adding that without him, he would have never thought of acquiring landed property et’al Prof. Osaghai states that time and space would dwarf him if he continues to reel off the uncommon qualities Baba Uyigue possessed while he was alive. 

Speaking to the audience with his testimonies the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs Hon Monday Osaigbovo JP states that Baba Uyigue was an uncommonly personality who believed in hard work, honesty and above all he spoke the truths at all times regardless of how his listeners felt adding that Baba Uyigue was a Community Leader and Mobilizer apart from the Legislatives roles he rendered at the defunct Bendel State House of Assembly under the platform of the defunct National Party of Nigeria (NPN) in the second republic democratic experimentation and he also added that Baba Uyigue would be missed by all and sundry.

Speaking to the audience with his testimonies Rev. Osamudimen Afe Esq of the Baptist Church Family states that Baba Uyigue bailed them out from financial mess when they had drawn up a budget of twenty-five thousand Naira only (N 25, 000.00) and the Leadership of the Baptist Church only released the sum of Five thousand naira only (N 5, 000. 00).

He states that Baba Uyigue bailed them with the sum of forty thousand naira only (N 40, 000.00) which enabled the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Baptist Church crusade to hold to the glory of God. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline the Deputy Chairman Comrade Odion Esede who did speak on behalf of the state Chairman Road Transport Association of Nigeria Pastor and Comrade Sunday Erhahon states that they came with their uniforms to heavily honour Hon.Uyigue with their last respects and homage because he was their father as he related to them with Love and Candour while he was alive. Comrade Esede states that they would really miss his warm relationship that exuded between them adding that he prays to God to grant his soul peaceful rest. 

Speaking with his sermon to the gathering President Edo Baptist Conference of the Nigerian Baptist Convention and Chairman Christian Council of Nigeria Edo State Revd. Osahon Igbinidu JP titled his sermon (The Death of Righteous) which he took from the book of (Numbers 23:10) where he states that the personality in the sermon is Jesus Christ Himself because He is the righteousness of God adding that righteous is a gift when an individual received Jesus Christ into his or her life. 

He states that once an individual receives Jesus Christ that Righteousness is given to such a person adding that it is given not worked for as he also added that the atonement, salvation and redemption are all granted to the person(s) who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Revd Igbinidu JP states that the soul of a righteous death does not die adding that the gospel tells that man is an internal being. He states that there is a final resting place for the soul adding that the final resting place can be Heaven or Hellfire. 

He states that the righteous soul leaves behind good legacies concurring that Hon Uyigue gave his life to Jesus Christ and as well as that he brought his children into the family of God. He states Baba Uyigue used his resources and networks to the church in all ramifications. In rounding off his sermon he advised the children of Hon Uyigue to continue to be closer to God because only God showers his blessings, love, peace, joys, wisdom et’ al. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline Online Eki Uyigue the eldest daughter of Hon. Uyigue states that her father was a father with bright foresights hence he instilled discipline and industry into all his off springs adding that her father worked hard to raise them up with good mien and candour. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline the Director of Revenue Oredo Local Government Area Benin-City Comrade Agbons Uyigue states that the flood gates of testimonies from wide spectrum of persons have shown who his father was while he was alive adding that the father left no shoes for him and his siblings to fill rather that his father has given a wonderful upbringing that would catapult them to create their own shoes so as to be able to leave behind unimaginable strides when they too would join their fore bears. 

He noted that speaking of his father to anyone who cares to listen would take eternity adding that his father was everything to him and his siblings.

The funeral arrangements which had already started with service of songs shall continue with Thursday, 25^th August 2022, a Valedictory session at Edo State House of Assembly Ring Road, Benin-City Saturday 27^th August 2022 funeral service 3pm at Abehe Baptist Church, 13 Abehe Street Behind Oba Market, interment follows immediately at his residence Zabayor Street, off Stadium Road, Benin-City. 

Sunday, 28^th August 2022, Thanksgiving service 9am at Abehe Baptist Church and social dance 12 noon at Edo Hotels Marquee, Okada Avenue, GRA, Benin-City. Late Hon Uyigue was born in the year 1936 into the Uyigue Igbinoba family of Ovboie Town, Ovia North East L.G.A Edo State. He joined his fore bears on July 26^th 2022.
