NUJ EDO STATE COUNCIL PAYS A COURTESY VISIT TO ESAMA OF BENIN KINGDOM

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ). Edo State Council has paid a courtesy visit to Esama of Benin Kingdom who has flagged of schedule of activities to mark his 88th Birthday Celebrations. 

Speaking at the living room of the Esama of Benin Kingdom and the Honorary Romanian Ambassador to Edo and Delta State Sir, Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Edo State Council Comrade Festus Alenkhe states that all the prayers of the Esama of Benin Kingdom prayed for the reunion have all been answered by Almighty Yahweh adding that the leadership of the Union has recorded uncommon achievements in the last Seven months the administration came on board. 

Speaking further Comrade Alenkhe outlined the successes recorded thus far, the provision of internet services which enable Journalists to effectively carry out their assignments, provision of Health Insurance Scheme, provision of free medical applications to members of different chapels of the Union for three days recently adding that the Esama of Benin Kingdom remains the grand patron of Edo State Council of NUJ. 

He spiritually prayed for the Esama of Benin Kingdom to celebrate his 90th birthday in good health et’al adding that by the grace of Almighty Yehwah when the 90th birthday shall be uncommonly celebrated that the entire leadership and members of Edo State Council NUJ shall be pragmatically be involved in the celebrations. Speaking further comrade Alenkhe pleasantly and passionately presented a well written letter to the Esama of Benin Kingdom for assistance for the Union. 

Responding, the Esama of the Benin Kingdom peaceably concurred to critically look into all the requests the leadership of the union has made to him. 

The leadership of NUJ Edo State presented a giant size birthday card to the Esama of Benin Kingdom. The Esama of Benin Kingdom uncommonly dished out his love to all and sundry that attended the courtesy visitation. 

There are days of Cultural dances and songs of the 36 states nationwide and the grand finale shall be on Sunday September, 11th, 2022.
