CAIMAT ORGANISES ONE DAY SENSITIZATION SEMINAR

The Creation of Alternatives to Irregular Migration and Human Trafficking has pleasantly organized One Day Sensitization Seminar at Edo State Taskforce Against Human Trafficking Conference Hall near EDI Hospital GRA, Benin-City, Edo State with the theme Project Presentation Ceremony.

Speaking to the gathering Consultant Comrade (Dr) Jude Obasanmi states that there has been institutional strengthening capacity work with six government agencies to conduct a Technical Needs Assessment, and as well as strengthen the capacities for improved service delivery adding that the six government agencies are Edo State Task Force Against Human Trafficking (ETAHT). 

Speaking further to the audience Consultant Comrade Dr. Obasanmi states that the six government agencies include the followings:

·        National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in persons (NAPTIP)

·        Edo State Ministry of Business, Trade and Cooperatives.

·        Edo State Ministry of Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs.

·        Edo State Ministry of Education.

·        Creation of a Dialogue Platforms for government agencies CSOs and the private sector for more effective coordination and community engagement on Migration issues. 

According to Consultant Comrade Dr. Obasanmi, he concurs that the training manual consisted of 14 modules which do largely help in the training of the beneficiaries and of a truth the consultant comrade Dr. Obasanmi did not disappoint the audience with his cerebral delivery of his presentations. 

Speaking to the gathering with a good will message Chairperson, Joint National Association Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Ann Ojugo stated that there a lot of persons with disabilities that have not been captured with the public sensitization of inhernet dangers associated with irregular migration adding that the stakeholders have lots of responsibilities of sensitization the general public the training for persons living with disabilities. 

She frankly commended the efforts of the stakeholders thus far while she still employs them to pragmatically spread their nets of catchment of persons living with disabilities to all nooks and crannies of the society. Speaking to the audience with a good will message Bishop Lucky Onakpoma of PFN Oredo Chapter represented Apostle Mike Ayeni states that PFN Oredo Chapter is really gladdened to be part of the programmes of training Youths to become responsible in no distant future. 

Speaking to the gathering Iman (Dr) Suleman Ikhvonah who stood in for Chief Iman of Benin-City Sheikh Abdulfatah Enabulele states that they Muslim body is always ready to support the stakeholders in the training of the youths of the society for a better means of livelihood. And, again speaking with a good will message Joan Ojiwa who stood in for the Zonal Commander of NAPTIP Barr. Nduka Nwanwenne states that her agency is one of those six government agencies allowed by law to clearly and loudly champion the cause of all those who Migrate Illegally adding that the Edo State is really living up to her task of squarely handling the issues of Illegal Migration. 

Okribata Pearl Ore of the beneficiaries of the training modules who is learning Hair dressing as profession profusely commended the organizers and all the agencies associated with CAIMAT for bringing lifeline to her and others. Comrade Abiola Daisy Igaba president Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations NGOS (CO NGOS) Edo State attended the one day sensitization seminar. Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline the Chief Iman of Benin-City Sheikh Enabulele

States that the one day sensitization seminar is apt and timely adding that all hands must be on deck to curb the businesses of Illegal Migration to Foreign Countries.
