2023: Trusted Brands Should be Voted For At The Forth Coming General Elections-Enang

Speaking as the guest speaker President, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Mr Idoreyen Enang to the gathering at NECA House, Hakeem Balogun Street, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos at the Most Trusted Brand Awards 2022 with a theme (Building Trusted Brands in Trust Deficit Society) states that Trusted Brands should be voted for at the forth coming 2023 General Elections by the electorate adding that Politicians will come out to the electorate with their sugar coated tongues to launch their campaigns of loads of lies. 

Speaking further to the audience the President National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) Enang states that the electorate are really to be careful and pragmatic about the trusted brands they should clearly and loudly cast their votes at the forth coming 2023 general elections adding that if the electorate should make the costly mistakes of electing brands that are not honest, hard working et’al that they the electorate would plunge Nigeria into more deeper problems and he also added that Nigeria is already in a deep rooted hassles, that has affected all and sundry in all ramifications. According to Enang, he states that all human beings are each ambassador of their family adducing that everyone is a representative of a family, therefore, everyone ought to be trusted, truthful, durable, able, firm and finally be reliable and again he concurs that trust, belief, assurance, convictions are ingredients of trustable relationships amongst human beings. 

Speaking further to the gathering Enang says that brand is a religion because faith is the key element in brand business adding that marketing is like life while life is marketing. He says that brand managers are called gurus because of the deep knowledge of keenness they display towards their functions adding that there has to be marketing mix of price, place, promotion and product for a brand to be heavily successful and he also added that trust is systematically and dependable on men and women. 

He says that at the beginning of engaging in brands businesses that the trust is very fragile, but, over time of honesty, competent, openness, reliability, staying power and consistencies that trust grows into huge umbrella of changing lives of all and sundry. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Brand Health Mr Emmannuel Udowoima states that he runs an organization called Most Trusted Brand chosen by customers and they organize an awards that did begin in the year 2010. 

Speaking further with Iconblazemagazineonline, he says that they halted the award exercise in the year 2015 and that today November 13th 2022 that they decided to bring it back to life, adding that they needed to retool the awards processes and for this reason, they have come to continue what they did begin in the year 2010. Speaking again with Iconblazemagazineonline, he says that they did a survey of having 13,000 sets of Nigerians to nominate or vote the brands that they feel that there are most trusted by the consumers adding that the awardees are not nominated by him, but that they are nominated by the consumers through the research they did. He states that they do research and that they look at the health of various brands because that there are so many brands in Nigeria, some of them healthy, some of them more healthier and some of them are not healthy in the first place, so, research has proved that there are good brands available. 

Speaking again with Iconblazemagazineonline, he says that the consumers do the voting and nomination adding that the awardees do not even know that they at the most trusted brand are the ones dishing out the awards until now, and there is no way they can pay them with monies. 

He says that the award is the most credible awards around and that some of them only knew of the awards winning not too long, so none of the awardees paid any monies for each of the category. 

He states that they have 22 categories for the awards ceremony and he says that they also have four recognitions, that they have recognized the Chairman of Ibom Air, as they have already done the ranking, and an award would be awarded to Brig General Mohammed Baba Marwa (Rtd), former Military Administrator of Lagos State for what he is doing at NDLEA, then the Managing Director of Seven Up Bottling Company for what they did during Covid-19 era and Mr Lanre Adisa, one of the owners of Advertising firms and that Mr Adisa has been with MTD since inception from 2010 showing solidarity to them at MTD. 

He says that his message to the awardees are to be trusted, credible and do everything alright adding that they are asking the brand owners to be more focused and that they should not cheat customers adding that brand is all about trust. He says that people should believe on the promises made available to them from their end and these promises should be adequately kept for a greater relationship between the brand owners and consumers. 

He states that the theme of the lecture Building Trusted Brands in Trust in Deficit Society and as they all know that the 2023 general elections are very much around the corner and that the politicians will come in their large numbers to make promises to the electorate adding that the guest speaker Enang would also do a good delivery on the subject matter and he also added that as there are products brands and there also human brands. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, the General Manager of Marketing, Seven Up Bottling Company, Mr Segun Ogunleye states that he feels great and exciting that his Managing Director won an award. He says that the award awarded to his MD clearly shows the values their business attach to the society. He says that their business is all about people and that their business knows that Nigeria must move to the right direction adding that they did not believe only in profitability, but, also they believe in the well being of the people. 

He says that the awards is all about celebrating the excellence that the Seven Up Bottling Company has which is been driven by the MD of the company Mr Ziad Maalouf who has uncommon passion for hardwork and excellence. Speaking further with Iconblazemagazineonline, the General Manager Marketing, Ogunleye says that their business intertwine with Nigeria and Naija adding that on October 1st, 1960, the first bottle of Seven Up rolled up the line and that is exactly the year Nigeria got her independent from the British Colonial Masters adducing that there is inherently intertwine with Nigeria. 

He says that they used their brands to connect Nigeria, for example, they have used Pepsi for the development of football in Nigeria, where they have created Football Academy for over 25 years and that the Football Academy is still functioning optimally and it is the oldest Football Academy in Nigeria. 

He states that they continue to empower young people especially from the music industry. He says that Seven Up as a brand continues to search how to create great leaders as a ripple effects and they have instituted the Seven Up Harvard Business School Scholarship over ten years ago and that they believe that when an individual is endowed that person(s) can create a ripple effects and he says that they will continue to do all of these to largely affect humanity for good. 

He concurs that they are recognized in the communities they are hosted, for example in Enugu, where they built schools and helped the students and where they provide water in their host communities. He says that they continue to look at Naija and how to move Nigeria forward adding that the biggest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is what MTD has awarded them today which was the introduction of hand sanitizers at rock bottom price when Covid-19 broke out 2020. He says that they believe in the people and Nigeria herself and all and sundry should be well protected and as well as the wellness of everyone should be main focus of Seven Up and that Seven Up is a brand that continually at the forefront of excellence and assisting persons at all time
