We Are Very Much Interested in The Progress of Our Almamata-PG Agu

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline at Dover Hotels Aromire Street, Off Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos at Abia State University Legends End of Year 2022 Seminar the President General ABSU Legends Association Emenike Chinasaokwu Agu states that they are very much interested in the progress of the Abia State University, Uturu adding that they are very indeed keen in giving back to the institution that groomed them and he also added that Abia State University, Uturu is one of the best Universities in the entire space of Nigeria in terms of the academic standards. 

Speaking further he states that he remembered in the days of their students ranking high when they graduated adding that when some of them did leave the Law school and also he added that they began to hear lots of stories negatively affecting the Abia State University. And, again, the President General of ABSU Legends Alumni Association of Abia State University Uturu Agu says that the economic situations in the Federation has adversely affected the growth of the said Abia State University, Uturu adding that they were the pioneer students at the new campus, adducing that then everything went well with them. 

Speaking further PG Agu states that they actually enjoyed good facilities like hot waters running endlessly, academic standards were high then, but, very sadly he says that the academic standard have fallen below the ebb adding that as alumni members, they thought it wisely that they too have a role to play in giving back to the very institution that groomed them for what they are now. 

He says that they decided to come together globally and that they did not restrict themselves to only their set, but, that once the alumnus graduated from Abia State University, that, the graduand automatically is a member adding that the Vice Chancellor of the school Professor Onyemachi Ogbulu reeled out lots of needs the University wants. He says that Vice Chancellor Prof. Ogbulu wishes the ABSU Legends Alumni Association of Abia State University Uturu to help out so that the highly standards the institution is associated with it shall be redeemed.

 Speaking further he says that they have members in the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, France, Australia, Netherland and all over the place adding that they have members in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, South Africa and he also added that they are trying to harness the spread of their pleasant messages to see how they would be of a great assistance to the institution. 

He says that the event of today has offered a veritable platform to all and sundry to speak out their plans towards uplifting the institution adding that they have plans of doing some projects for the school come 2023. He says that the Vice Chancellor Prof. Ogbulu did inform that they have built hostels and library, but, that they ABSU Legends Alumni Association of Abia State University Uturu shall be looking towards in the areas of academic research and how to empower more research in the advancement of knowledge. 

He says that they are looking at how to equip some of the faculties with what is required especially at this age of computers and internets. He says that they are largely looking at how the use of internet at this jet age to advance learning at the institution and that they are looking at that for 2023 adding that they have setup website which shall be a hub between the ABSU Legends Alumni Association of Abia State University and the school authorities. 

And, again he says that they are looking at how to advance some of the faculties, for research works and all that and bring them with speed at the jet age of internet as this is the age 5G and he ask that who says that school cannot transform to meet up with the 5G standards adding that all and sundry are living witnesses when banks transformed from analogue to digital and he also added that they actually wish to assist their almamata with research programmes for betterment of the students and school. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline Hilda Chidinma Nkor, Resident ABSU Legends Lagos Chapter, states that all sets of graduands from Abia State University, Nturu Legends Alumni Association Lagos Chapter are represented here at the end of year 2022 Seminar adding that they have not intervened on the issues bordering at the lecturers of the institution mostly male lecturers making life most herculean for female students and she also added that the representative of the Vice Chancellor made appeal to body for assistance that would advance the well being of all and sundry. 

Speaking further she says that they have not really intervened at most of the things the representative of the Vice Chancellor raised adding that when students face certain negative applications, that they are scared for life. 

She says that the administration of the school, should honestly look into the ugly trend of sexual harassment from male lecturers to female students adding that she was admitted into the school in the year 1988 and she graduated in the year 1992. 

Speaking again she says that one thing that she generally liked about the school as the absolute calmness of the entire campus and as well as the seriousness of the students with their studies. She says that she remembers clearly how a particular lecturer assisted her when she took ill as an undergraduate then and that the said lecturer visited her at the hospital and she kindly paid for everything the hospital management did charge her. 

She says that Abia State University Uturu is a good place to study because she has all the ambience of making the students total human beings adding that if anyone actually desired to go through the school, that she advises the person to go ahead because the school is place of academic development and attain heavy education as the structures they left behind have been improved over the years. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline Pastor Ikechukwu Ogbonna of True Vine Christian Centre states that the ABSU Legends Alumni Association get together of year 2022 Seminar is a wonderful events for them old students of Abia State University. 

He says that people grow by the day adding that their last year event was not as successful as to what huge successes the 2022 End of Year Seminar has recorded and he also added that by the grace of God of Prophets and Apostles that of 2023 shall be more prosperous and all that. 

He states that his messages to old students are that they should stay committed because they are one big family adding that the messages from the Vice Chancellor are quite clear as there are plans afoot for further developments of the Abia State University, Uturu. He says that their body and school authorities should heavily synergies because they the old students have a great plans in the pipeline for the institution in no distant future.
