THE BIGGEST BUSINESS IN NIGERIA IS GOVERNMENT-COMRADE OSAKUE

Speaking to the gathering the Network of Civil Society Organization of Nigeria (NOCSON) Electoral Sensitization and Mobilization summit with the theme: Role of Civil Society in Ensuring a Violence Free, Fair and Credible 2023 elections at Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre, of St. Paul Catholic Church, Airport Road, Benin City, Edo State Comrade Austin Osakue as one of resource persons states that the biggest business in Nigeria is government adding that several persons do largely put themselves up for elective offices. 

Speaking further he states that electorate should critically monitor all their votes come election dates adding that politicians have a means of distracting the electors from monitoring their votes and he also added that INEC must ensure that the will of the people must be critically and pragmatically prevailed for the public good of all and sundry. 

According to Comrade Osakue he concurs that he is  in tandem with the critical submissions Comrade Abraham Oviawe Esq made earlier on that Civil Society is the third leg of the tripod upon which the entire persons are involved adding that the remaining two are the government  and big business with capital to invest for the purpose of ekeing profits . 

Speaking further he says that the churches are part of Civil Society adding that democracy is a representative government and he also added that very sadly that the representatives of the down trodden masses are there for themselves and cronies. 

He categorically appealed to the audience to vote wisely with the PVCs so that a people’s oriented government can be enthroned. Speaking to the gathering the keynote speaker Commissioner of Police, Edo State Mohammed Adamu Dankwara stated that all hands must be on deck so that the 2023 General Elections should be violence free, fair and credible. 

He states that Civil Society Organization of Nigeria is a part of Police and other security agencies adding that all and sundry most always abide by rules and regulations of Federal Government. Comrade Oviawe Esq states that the only weapon recognized to win elections is the use of PVCs adding that non violence, fair and credibility did begin with the registration of voters at ward levels et’al. He concurs that the only way to change a system is to be part of them thereby he goaded all and sundry to be politically alive. 

Speaking to the audience with speech by the President, Network of Civil Society Organization of Nigeria (NOCSON) Comrade Ogbidi Emmanuel states that election is a process whereby eligible adults in the republic elects their leaders both at the national and sub-national levels adding that the process gives the electorate an opportunity to choose whom they deemed fit to represent them, by way of exercising their fundamental human rights. 

He states that is the responsibility of all and sundry to ensure that elections in the republic is violence free, fair and credible through effective participation and continuous engagements adding that they  charge all political parties and their candidates  to play according to the rules of the game. 

He states that they are major stakeholders in every election achieving a violence, free, fair and credible election do largely depend on the electors adding that violence during election operates with the law of demand and supply and he also added that if there are no candidates requesting for any act of violence to be perpetuated in their interests, the down trodden masses would not be available to supply the acts of violence. 

He cited the cases of burning down INEC Offices and attacking political rallies by street urchins and oafs. Speaking to the audience the senatorial candidate for Edo South senatorial zone of Labour Party Barr Neda Imasuen states that he is quite impressed with the lucid submissions all the speakers brilliantly delivered to the participants adducing that the electors should try to choose Labour Party Candidates in all elections. 

He says that PDP and APC have done their best and the Labour Party should be tested for good. Speaking to the participants Engr. Esosa Iyawe a candidate of Green Chambers at Abuja of Oredo Federal Constituency of Labour Party concurred with all his political sibling Barr. Imausen had submitted. 

Speaking to the participants the candidate for Edo State House of Assembly Oredo West Constituency Dr. Richard Osaro states that he is a Medical Doctor, Scientist and Researcher adding that he has been trained to proffer solutions to government. 

He states that he would provide basic amenities such a good roads, good health care sector, education et’al for the down trodden masses if he is elected come March 11^th, 2023. Several Comrades did give out good will messages and Comrade Bevy Efe delivered the Vote of thanks.
