CAIMAT RENDERS ACCOUNTS OF STEWARSHIP TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

Speaking to journalists at their conference room 32 Plymouth Road Benin City, Oredo Local Government Area, Edo State the Project Director Saliu Aidorolo of Creation of Alternatives to Irregular Migration and Human Trafficking Project (CAIMAT) states that they actually have good reasons to render account of their stewardship to the general public adding that their projects have been able to equip 450 potential migrants in Benin. 

Speaking further he says that the project is being led by Ideal Development And Resource Center (IDRC) et’al, he states that the project has 15 beneficiaries per cooperatives in a total of 30 cooperatives group adding that the project will continue to monitor the cooperatives and as well as support them to make economically sustainable and progressively become an added value to their communities. Speaking further he states that they have done heavy sensitization and institutional strengthening whereby they have largely roll out their stewardship report cards of achievements of the CAIMAT Project regarding the outputs and outcomes as it relates to the key activities and objectives of the projects. 

According to Aidorolo, he says that they have trained 450 youths, 30 cooperatives formed and registered with Edo State Government, 60 leaders of cooperative management and entrepreneurship, 30 cooperatives group provided with basic equipment and office, shop and as well as media sensitization 16 television shows and 16 radio talk shows presented. 

He equally informed the audience that community sensitization of over 5000 youth (secondary school students) reached with migration messages, 300 parents, teachers, 450 women gatekeepers, 90 local religious leaders, 90 traditional leaders. He also informed the audience that they encountered heavy challenges as they carried their projects activities.
