ELECTION LIKE NO OTHER

The long awaited February 25^th, 2023 General Elections for Presidency, Red Chambers and Green Chambers finally dawned on Saturday 25^th February, 2023. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) the sole umpire for supervision of the general elections got heavily prepared to discharge her duties to the citizenry. 

The electorate themselves came out enmass with their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) to their polling units or booths. The INEC Adhoc Staff heavily related well to the electorate by guiding them nicely where there are hitches. At George Idah Primary School Ward 2, G.R.A, Benin City, Oredo Local Government Area, Edo State there are about 10 different polling units where the electorate came to exercise their fundamental human rights of choosing a new president through about 18 different political parties registered by INEC. But, if truth be told, it is only four major political parties and seriously in the race. 

These political parties are Labour Party (LP) of Mr. Peter Obi stood in as her presidential candidate, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which Alhaji Atiku Abubakar came out as her presidential candidate, All Progressives Congress (APC) which Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu stood in for her presidential candidate and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) which Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso is the presidential candidate. The former executive governor of Edo State between 1999-2007. 

His Excellency Lucky Igbenidion voted at unit 5 at George Idah Primary School Ward 2 by 1:35pm. Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline he stated that the nascent democracy is growing effectively adding the BVAS machine worked out perfectly when it is applied at him. Speaking further he states that the election is very peaceful, calm and orderly adding that his prayers are the best candidates should be elected. 

At Garrick Memorial Secondary School, Benin City, Edo State which also houses more than 10 polling units or booths is where Retired Major General Charles Airidvbere a Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) and as well as the Head Security for 2023 General Elections of Edo South Senatorial District under APC. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline he states that this election every Nigerian has been looking forward to, they have been clinically waiting for because there will be changes at all levels, as in presidential, red chambers, green chambers and even at the hallow chambers in Edo State.

He says that Nigerians especially the peoples of Edo State that came out to exercise their fundamental human rights have been patiently waiting for this February 25^th, 2023, adding that the election itself is peaceful, the whole environment is calm and he added that people from different parties hugging themselves has already shows that the results will be acceptable by all and sundry. He says that Edo State will have what they have dreamt for when the results are announced. 

He says that his message to electorate is that they should accept the results of the election in good faith. And, again, he noted that no leader will like to shed the blood of any person so that he could become what he wishes adding that leaders are always wishing for peaceful elections.

Speaking further he says that he is a leader in APC and that they did not share any monies to anyone adding that all their followers are available at the polling units to cast their votes, whether cash is being shared or not and he also added that there will be new president to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari come May 29^th 2023. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline Director General of Edo South Senatorial District for PDP Hon Samson Abu states that the election at his unit is very calm, orderly and peaceful as every electorate is willing to cast votes for their preferred candidates adding that the BVAS Machine has been very optimal because it captures the electorate in few seconds. 

He says that his political party PDP has always won election adding that he believes that his party will also win this very election. At Etete Unit 8 and Unit 9 the electorate came out in large numbers and of a truth, the election went on peacefully and all that.

At Open Space Tipper Garage 046 St, Saviour Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, where the PDP Edo South Senatorial Zone where Hon Mathew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyenkemwen voted is very calm, orderly and peaceful and he graciously won his polling unit with wide margin. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline the Senior Special Assistant to Edo State Governor on entertainment Iselobhor Airemen a.k.a Miyake states that the election is really calm and peaceful as all the electorate are interested to cast their votes. But, very interestingly as the electioneering exercises progress the windows of Heavens Opened up and the down pour brought showers of blessing. Nigerians and the entire world citizens are eagerly waiting for the INEC Chairman Prof. Yakubu Mamood to announce the results of the Presidential Elections.
