I WANT TO BE THE SPEAKER OF THE 10TH EDHA- HON ALEBURU

BY LEO EZEKIEL

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline at the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) Press Centre, G.R.A, Benin City, Edo State Hon. Fred Aleburu a candidate of Edo State House of Assembly under the platform of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and as well as from Owan East Constituency of Edo State, states that he wants to be the speaker of the 10th Edo State House of Assembly adding that he has not seen or read from any documents that a first timer at the hallow chambers cannot be the speaker.

Speaking further he states that he has tagged his manifestos as one project health, one project education, one project agriculture, one project economic, one project rural roads adding that he is going to start from health care sector and that in the area of health he has mapped out a strategy that every pregnant women in his constituency shall receive allowance for the period of the said pregnancy. Accordingly Hon. Aleburu states that once the pregnant woman puts to bed, that the pregnant woman will not pay any bill because the bill shall be paid by the constituency office adding that every aged person from 65 years old and above shall be placed on monthly allowance.

He says that the reason for paying them allowances is because at that age they are no more very productive, that the payments is tagged retirement benefits adding that they have not really labour for it, but that their ages have qualified them for the payment. Hon Aleburu says that in the area of agricultures, that Owan East is an agrian area and that they have not been taken advantage of that adding that when he is sworn in as a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, that the farmers will be grouped into clusters that will be able to farm 10-20 acre of lands because they are not going to be using cutlasses and hoes rather they will make use of modern facilities of agricultural implements.

And, again, he says that in the area of health, there is no hospital in the Owan East Constituency adding that all the ward he visited no single hospital. He says that he intends to build in each ward a world class hospital where surgical operations will be carried out successfully adding that the huge rate of deaths at Owan East Constituency will be a thing of the past. He says that people are campaigning that they will create jobs but, he adduces that jobs are not created rather opportunities for jobs are there and people will be self-sufficient and he also added that the young people will be heavily engaged for productiveness.

He clearly says that people will be taught how to be self-reliant which by no means increase the gross domestic product of Owan East Constituency and by extension increases that of Edo State. He says that he wants to see that every Owan Youth is highly skilled and as well as be the most skillful person in the entire globe adding that the youths form the violent structure the politicians having been using them for dirty jobs for them and he also added that the politicians offer the youths peanuts which is very bad, as he concurs that if all the youths are gainfully productive with their business they know that they will be ekeing out say millions of naira every month, of a truth they will not be engaged in violent activities.

He says that he wants all and sundry to begin to look at the youths of Owan E ast as most skillful persons and as well as sellable to the highest bidder. Hon Aleburu says that the constituency office should create a machinery for rural roads construction which is heavily lacking adding that the former governor of Edo State Comrade Adams Oshomohole flew into their area with helicopter for campaign and thereby promised them that when he becomes the governor he would construct roads for them, but, very sadly Hon. Aleburu noted that the campaign promises were not kept. And, again, he says that he does not support contract awarding because, he believes the society they are qualified persons to handle some projects adding that the monies that will be paid to one contractor will be spread out to all and sundry.

He says that there shall be census of communities without roads from time to time and by the time he would have spent four years at the hallow chambers, a whole lot will have been done for the public good of all and sundry. He concurs that he is from Erah and that there is not link roads to his village and other communities adding that these are factors that goaded him to go to the house of assembly because it is at the house of assembly developmental streaks are shared.

He says that the area of education should be adequately addressed so that all the constituents shall be a heavy beneficiary of educational revolution that will radically transformed the citizenry adding that he is going to make secondary education free for his constituents and he also added that he has embedded into his campaign mantra Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that he will sign from ward one to ward eleven because there are eleven wards for Owan East Constituency.

He says that if he did not fulfill all the agreements he signed, that he should not be allowed to enter their communities. He states that he did not share monies to people because he will not have monies to carry out constituency projects for the public good of the constituents. He says that he will legalize the MOA by notary public or sworn affidavit so that he could be held responsible adding that he is a different person and he is willing to do things differently.

He says that his people are largely behind him and he agrees that he will win the election of March, 18th, 2023 comfortably. He says that his messages to his people of Owan East Constituency is not to come to join NNPP, but, rather cast their votes for him because he is their son adding that they already knew his pedigree and antecedents of good services to humanity.
