NUJ EDO STATE COUNCIL COMMISSIONS HER FOOD MART IN A GRAND STYLE

Speaking as the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Edo State Council at the Oba Oguola Press Centre, Gabriel Igbenidion, Road, GRA, Benin City, to the members of the fourth estate of the realm and general public Comrade Festus Alenkhe states that the commissioning her food mart is purely to care for welfare of members of the press in Edo State adding that it is not commissioned for profits making rather the food mart channel is to provide soft landing for the members. 

Speaking further Comrade Alenkhe states that adequate arrangements are ongoing with Dangote, Okumo and Pressco for the purposes of getting chains of food items supplies at affordable rates by members adding that there is ongoing arrangements with a certain bank for the purposes of installing Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at the Oba Oguola Press Centre for the effective uses of members. 

Accordingly Comrade Alenkhe highlighted all the seeable achievements his administration has thus far achieved since December 17^th, 2021 adding that one of the past chairman of NUJ, Edo State Council Comrade Friday Obanor did extremely well with the initiatives of interlocking the floors of the press centre while he held sway. 

He generally encouraged members to regularly patronize the food mart platform. Speaking to the gathering the Comrade Alenkhe states that he has done a proper research at the NUJ 36 states of the country, that it is only Edo State Council NUJ has begun food mart operations for members. 

Speaking to the gathering the Hon. Commissioner for Business, Trade and Cooperatives Afishetu Braimoh states that she is practically overwhelmed in her spirits that NUJ, Edo State Council has been magnificently transformed by the leadership streaks of Comrade Alenkhe and his uncommon team adding that her ministry shall largely be involved in the businesses of NUJ Edo State Council food mart. 

Speaking further she concurs that there shall be branded food labels of various food producers or farmers making Edo State proud in the chains of food supplies to the members and general public. She states that branded labels of foods produced in Edo State will sell heavily in overseas adding that she appreciates Comrade Alenkhe for commending the achievements of Comrade Obanor. 

Speaking to the audience the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Edo State Comrade and RT. Hon Philip Shaibu, Musa Eboharemen states that the office of the Deputy Governor will be adequately briefed of the NUJ food mart whereby the entire Administration of His Excellency Mr. Godwin Obaseki shall largely add values to the initiatives. 

The NUJ Vice Chairman and the General Manager of the Edo NUJ Food Mart Mrs. Imelda Osayande delivered the vote of thanks to the glory of God of Prophets and Apostles. The Hon Commissioner for Business, Trade and Cooperatives Braimoh with other uncommon VIPS publicly cut the tape for sales to commence in full gear.
