ELD-EL-FITR: LIVE IN PEACE CHIEF IMAN CENTRAL MOSQUE, UNIBEN PROF. AYINDE GOADS NIGERIANS

Speaking with iconblazemagazineonline the Chief Iman of the Central Mosque University of Benin, Benin City Prof. Ayinde stated that Eld-el-Fitr celebration is a Muslim ceremony that all persons should live in peace as peace is the fulcrum of developments et’al. Speaking further Prof. Ayinde states that the ceremony has to do a commemoration with the end of fasting period which is usually 29 or 30 days of fasting adding that this year Ramadan fasting is 1444 is 29 days and he also added that once it is finished the moon of shawal is sighted in the 10th month and the celebration is done. He added that the massage that they passed out today is to look at period of fasting as a period of transformation, as a period of reformation, as a period of training, as a period of rejuvenation, as a period of rededicating themselves to Almighty Allah. 


He added that the verse the Almighty Allah used in instructing every one of them to fast in the month of Ramadan is anchored on God’s consciousness which of course, they were not conscious of what they have done as their duties to Almighty God as their creator and to their fellow human beings before Ramadan. Speaking further Prof. Ayinde says that the essence of the exercise is that they have been trained and which can be likened to what they have in the banks or any other system or business where people are meant to go for higher training in order to improve their services and in this same way the Almighty Allah have given them these trainings for them to up their games in terms of their services to mankind and their worship to Him, so that at the end of the day it would not be seen for someone who has gone for a training, yet, he or she cannot practicalize it. Speaking further the chief Iman of the Central Mosque of UNIBEN Prof. Ayinde says that the major message is that since all of them have undergone the training of fasting and that they should all practicalize it to the letters adding that they should be seen as more generous individuals more trusting individuals and be seen to be more dedicated as in the service of Almighty Allah and service of humanity so that the society shall better. He added that people should see themselves as rejuvenated believers to change the society not through swords or daggers but in their characters that Islam teaches.
