OUR DEMOCRACY IS ON A TRIAL, JUDICIARY HAS THE POWERS TO PRESERVE IT – BARR. ABURE

Speaking to the members of press at Prestige Hotels, Ihama, GRA, Benin – City, Edo State, Barr. Julius Abure the National Chairman of Labour Party (LP) States that our nascent democracy is on a trail adding that only the judiciary has the powers to preserve it for the public good of all and sundry. Speaking further to members of the press and as well as the 36 States Chairmen of Labour Party (LP) he says that our present day democracy was heavily fought for and as a result must be preserved by all lovers of democracy adding that their political party is resolved to resist all forms of intimidations from any quarters because Labour Party wishes to usher a workable mission for a new Nigeria.

Speaking Further Barr Abure States that our democracy is actually undergoing trails from several quarters adding that he largely concurs that the judiciary shall definitely prove her mettles by defending the rule of law morality and he also did uncommonly thanked the citizenry for their massive supports in the just concluded general elections of 2023. He says that the leadership of Labour Party is working around the clock to reclaim the alleged stolen mandate.

Speaking to the audience the Kwara State Labour Party Chairman High Chief Kehinde Rotimi states that the purported suspension of Barr. Abure is null and void adding that the suspension did not follow the Labour Party Constitution that allows the SEC in council the powers to suspend or pass a vote of no confidence on the national Chairman Barr. Abure and he largely adduced that since the purported suspension did not follow the right charnels, hence they the 36 states chairmen have publicly passed a vote of confidence on their amiable National Chairman Barr Abure.

The Edo State chairman Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi also added his voice that opposition parties are the brains behind the alleged suspension as a way to distract the party from reclaiming her stolen mandate in the last general elections. Accordingly Comrade Ogbaloi says that the party presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi and the National Leadership of the party are working hard to reclaim her stolen mandate and will therefore not welcome any distractions from those who want to rubbish Labour Party before the citizenry.
