GOD IS OUR STRUCTURE @ ECTS-OHIKHUAI

BY LEO EZEKIEL

Speaking as the Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Edo City Transport Services (ECTS) Mrs. Hauwa Dupe Ohikhuai states that God is their structure at Edo City Transport Services ECTS. She pleasantly made the statement loud and clear at her office at ECTS to some members of the Federated Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Edo State Council who paid a courtesy visit to her.

Accordingly, she states that the chairman of the Federated Chapel being a woman means that she would have worked extremely hard to clinch the position of leading the chapel adding that she normally advises young women working under her to be always hardworking and as well as being inspired to achieve more positive results in their career. She added that what a man can do effectively with ease that a woman needs to work doubly hard to achieve same with uncommon vigour.

She added that God is their structure at ECTS because they pray at the beginning of the month and at the end of the month they still raised their voices to praise God for all His mercies and faithfulness towards them. She added again that God would not come down from Heaven to do the work for them, but, she has a mentor who was her immediate boss that she has personally learnt lots of administrative streaks from her. Accordingly, her former boss is a Chartered Accountant, a fellow of the institute and as well as a child of God. Speaking to the members of the Federated Chapel that paid her a courtesy visit, she states that she has heard all the requests presented to her as the needs of the Federated Chapel, adding that she would have loved to attend to all of them and even build a house because of her longtime relationship with the NUJ in the past, but, she again, stated that she would present the letter submitted to her, for the management to study the said letter and therefore decide what the management would do for the Federated Chapel.

She added that the state government is on a top gear of purchasing more buses for the smooth and effective running of ECTS, but, sadly, she states that the high cost of foreign exchange has adversely affected the purchase, she concurs that once more buses are purchased that the management would be able to render her services to the general public effortlessly. She effectively praised the duo of Comrade Roland Osakue, the immediate past Chairman of NUJ and Comrade Edosa who heavily assisted her in the operations of public relations roles at ECTS, despite that she read education at the university.

She generally appreciated them for the seamless recipes they gave her each time ECTS got new fleet of buses. She generally assured the members of Federated Chapel that they will be hearing a cheering news from them in no distant time.
