Speaking as both Hon. Commissioner of Health Edo State and the chairman of the event of Association of Resident Doctors under Edo State Government Employment Dr. Samuel Alli states that all the critical issues raised by the Chairman of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Edo State Chapter Dr. Udoka Imoisili when she spoke to the gathering will be critically look into by the Ministry of Health.
Speaking further to his colleagues at John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy (Hall 3) G.R.A, Benin City, Edo State, Dr. Alli states that he would pragmatically present all the grey issues Dr. Imoisili pointed out as challenges medical doctors in Edo State are facing as they carry out their duties to their patients to his boss His Excellency Mr. Godwin Obaseki. He assured his colleagues that despite he is just newly appointed as the honourable commissioner of health, he would as a matter of urgency he would meet with his boss Governor Obaseki so as to critically study the challenges the medical personnel do largely face in the course of discharging their duties to their patients.Speaking as the President of Association of Resident Doctors (EDGE) Dr. Uaboi Ovbiagele states that the scientific conference they are holding is an uncommon opportunity for them as doctors to further learn about novel innovation in the health sector as well as to engage topical issues as it affects their health economic and social wellbeing.He added that their scientific conference and Ordinary General Meeting shall also afford them the opportunity as Resident Doctors to present them land mark researches done in their clinics to either add to or update the body of knowledge. He added that the recent surge in the migration of health workers out of the republic for greener pastures as well as the devastating effects the broad day terrorism has largely ousted several doctors to flee the nation.The Local Organising Committee (LOC) and as well as the Vice President ARD EDGE) Dr. Georgina Eromesele frankly delivered the vote of thanks with kind words.
