NEWS EXTRA BRC 2023 MID-YEAR AGM HELD IN A GRAND STYLE

The Benin Recreation Club (BRC) has successfully held her 2023 Mid-Year Annual General Meeting where the following issues featured

·       The Official Presentation of BRC 2023 Amended Constitution.

·       The Official Unveiling of BRC at 90 Logo and Mascot.

·       The Presentation of BRC Executive Mid-Year Reports.

And, of a truth all these featured matters were heavily looked into by members of the club mostly when the secretary and financial reports were read to the hearing of all club members that attended the BRC 2023 Mid-Year AGM. 

The Amended Constitution was clearly and loudly presented to the members of the club and the president of the club Hon. Valentine Asuen emphasized that all members must obtain a copy of the said constitution. BRC also officially unveiled her 90 years Logo and as well as the mascot. The President of the club Hon. Asuen did take time to highlight all the activities BRC has mapped out to celebrate her 90 years of providing members and members of the public an avenue of relaxation after the hassles of the day. 

Speaking further Hon. Asuen states that apart from the club has achieved since they took over the mantle of leadership of BRC adding that there are other project that have been mapped out for the remaining part of the year 2023. The Public Relation Officer of the Club Marcus Mckane did present a brief history of BRC to members where he narrated to them how the white imperialists founded their own club named European Club and they never allowed Black Civil Servants to patronize their club.


He added the Black Civil Servants began theirs from 1931 which they named African Club, but, The PRO said that later it was renamed BRC in the year 1933 and by the grace of God of Prophets and Apostles BRC has lined up activities to celebrate the milestones the club has attained since 1933. BRC has formed several committees that would work out the plan of actions for the celebrations that would end November this year. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline Hon. Asuen states that he is really happy that it is during his time as the President of BRC that the club is celebrating 90 years of uncommon developmental streaks to the society adding that BRC has achieved a milestone under his tenure. He avers that BRC 90 years anniversary will attract the crème-de-la-crème of the society to grace the event with pomp and pageantry.
