BREAKING NEWS SUSPECTED THIEVES MASQUERADING AS ACTING OFFICERS OF EDO NMA BREAK INTO THE EDO NMA CHAIRMAN’S OFFICE-DR. IMOISILI

Speaking to members of the fourth estate of the realm at Doctors House, University of Benin, Ugbowo, Benin City, Edo State, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Edo State Branch Chairman Dr. Udoka Imoisili states that suspected thieves are masquerading as Acting Officers of Edo NMA broke into the Edo NMA Chairman’s Office adducing on Thursday 17^th August , 2023 when they were holding their business session of the AGM some members of the association with reckless abandon violently disrupted their meeting and assaulted the journalist who was commissioned to live stream the meeting who went for medical treatment for wounds sustained. 

Speaking further Dr. Imoisili states that one Dr. Samuel Omolua did verbally cast aspersions at her adding that he did make advance towards her to hack her down. She added that she called for recess when she noticed that the venue of the meeting was no longer safe as enshrined in Edo NMA rules and regulations. 

She added that unfortunately some misguided elements led by past Edo NMA Chairman (Dr. Harrison Omokua and a past Chairman (Dr. Osaigbovo Emmanuel) decided to illegally continue with the meeting and foster on  themselves an acting chairman in the person of Dr. Iluobe Inegbenogun and Dr. Emeka Okoh as the acting secretary. She added that Dr. Okoh had been shamelessly impersonating the office of the chairman and secretary. 

She added that they also gone ahead to spread false hood against her person through their collaborators having paid their way through. She added that these individuals were suspected to have burgled into her office and carted away important documents such as all cheque books of the associations, letter headed papers, laptop, receipts, cash, documents which are evidences of their  financial misdeeds and other items yet to be identified. She added that these two officers had been using the association letter heads which were clearly stolen from her office. 

She added that these unscrupulous elements did think that because she is a woman, they believed she is a weakling and thereby she can be overwhelmed. She added that she is a courageous noble leader that always assert her authority as the Legal Chairman of Edo State Branch NMA. Dr. Imoisili states that the AGM is still on recess and no illegality perpetuated by some faceless elements will not be tolerated.

She informs that the general public and all affiliates of Edo NMA are advised not to have any dealings with these Oafs adding that the image of doctors before the public must be held in high esteem. She says that they heavily condemned the shameless acts of these serial liars because doctors are still the noblest of all. She uncommonly reassures all members of Edo NMA to remain calm and peaceful as all illegalities shall be addressed in due time.
