POLITICS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOES NOT LOVE EDO STATE DR. AZIEGBEMI

Speaking to the members of the fourth estate of the realm at the Secretariat of Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Airport Road, Benin City, Edo State the state Chairman Dr. Tony Aziegbemi states that the Federal Government does not love Edo State adding that all the federal roads in Edo State are heavily dilapidated.

Speaking further the State Chairman of PDP Edo State Dr. Aziegbemi states that it has become necessary for them to call the attention of the media and well meaning Nigerians to the current bad nature of basic infrastructure that the down turn in the economy and as well as the man hours lost the hygiene situation along the roads.Accordingly the Edo State Chairman PDP Dr. Aziegbemi stated that they all aware that the republic is currently under a new dispensation and government under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu adducing that ordinarily some school of thoughts would say that it is too early to be critical of the government, but, the fact remains that even when this All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration is seen to be under a different new personage President Tinubu.

He added that Edo State is a transit state that links the West to the East to the North et’al. He added that Edo State serves as the main link that binds the republic citizenry together.  He added that the Lagos-Ore Benin Road has become a death trap most especially Ovia River Axis. He lamented that the Sobe-Oluku-Benin Road, the Benin-Auchi Roads are in the worst situations that criminally shows that the Federal Government does not love Edo State.He added that the roads linking Sapele-Warri-Agbor-South-South are also in heavy dilapidation. He told the media that the Edo State Government shall critically block all the state roads so that the attention of the Federal Government could be drawn to the hopelessness of the federal roads.

He informed the media that PDP under the watch of the Executive Governor of Edo State Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his team have carried all inclusive campaigns for Edo North Senatorial Zone and Edo Central Senatorial Zone for the fourth coming Local Government Election of September 2nd, 2023, adding that the campaign of the Edo South Senatorial District shall commence come Monday 21st August, 2023. He stated that he is extending invites to the media to join the PDP Campaign Train of Edo State.
