PAOO LOVE FOR EDUCATION IS MANIFEST IN HIS STERLING ANTECEDENTS

Education makes a people easy to lead and difficult to enslave. It makes a society sane and relatively organised. Hence, its importance cannot be overemphasized. This underscores why Prof. Aigberadion Oserhiemen Osunbor love for education is unmatched. As a renowned academician, he knows that there is no legacy greater than education, that a parent can bequeath to his children. Education and his love for it forms the epicenter of Prof. Osunbor personal ideology with the knowledge that the future of our children depends on the quality of education they are exposed to today. 

Predicated on this, within the short time he spent as Executive Governor of Edo State, he transformed the Edo State educational system from primary to post primary and tertiary education, thereby taking the standards to an enviable heights. He employed qualified teachers, created a conducive working and learning environment for teachers and pupils/students by renovating countless primary and secondary schools across the three Senatorial Districts of the State. 

He gave the matching order and made sure that many 'yet to be' accredited courses at the state owned University (Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma) was swiftly accredited by the National University Commission (NUC). He provided adequate funding for the University with lecturers" remunerations increased and promptly paid as at when due. In addition, it is on verifiable records that the following schools amongst many too numerous to mention were renovated by Prof Osunbor: Ogbe Model Primary School, Ebenezer Primary School 1&2, Eguare Primary school, Uromi, Girls Primary School, et’al.

He also paid enrolment fees for Junior School Leaving Certificate Examination for public school students in 2008. This is indeed a man who loves and believes in the power of quality education.
