NEWS EXTRA ESAMA OF BENIN KINGDOM SIR, DR, CHIEF IGBENIDION CONCURS TO BANKROLL NUJ EDO STATE COUNCIL CLASSIC DINNER WITH A HANDSOME TWO MILLION NAIRA ONLY ET’AL

Speaking to the members of the fourth estate of the realm of the Nigeria Union of  Journalists (NUJ) Edo State Council at his pleasant and uncommon living room the Esama of Benin Kingdom and as well as the entire universe Sir, Dr, Chief Gabriel Osawuru Igbenidion concurs to bankroll the NUJ Edo State Council classic dinner with a handsome two million naira only adding that by the special graces of God of Prophets and Apostles  he will still add more values to the NUJ, Edo State Council classic dinner which comes up on the February 10th, 2024 at Uyi Grand, G.R.A, Benin City, Edo State. 

Speaking further the Grand life patron of NUJ, Edo State Council Sir, Dr, Chief Igbenidion graphically narrated to the gathering how the lands with which the Oba Oguola press is built today was acquired through the office of lands of white Colonial Permanent Secretary adding that he single handedly paid a whopping sum of thirty six pounds to the treasury of Ministry of lands and surveying. 

He profusely commended the current chairman of NUJ, Edo State Council Comrade Festus Alenkhe for all the laudable achievements he and his team have achieved thus far adding that he is so, so full of praises for the leadership streaks with which Comrade Alenkhe and his team have branded the Oba Oguola Press Centre a beacon of excellence et’al. 

speaking to the audience with his account of stewardship for the year ended 31st December, 2023 Comrade Alenkhe stated a litany of programmes his leadership team executed for 2023 adding that they have drawn up programs for the year 2024 which shall be submitted to the congress for proper vetting and approval. 

He states that his two years of leadership of NUJ Edo State Council has pragmatically provided internet services at the press centre for the use of reporters adding that some journalists have been retrained in abroad last year. He adds that there shall be regular national and international retraining of reporters. He adds that about 30 reporters were trained last year at the press centre. 

He frankly thanked the extraordinaire philanthropist Sir, Dr, Chief Igbenidion for all the uncommon supports he has graciously rendered to the wellbeing and progressive developments of the NUJ, Edo State Council. He adds that his leadership has effectively rebranded the entire Oba Oguola Press Centre with fencing the entire of mass of lands up to EFCC building. 

He frankly handed over the files of 2023 recorded events to the grand old man of good mien and candour alongside with his executive members and as well as presented a giant size happy new year card. The NUJ, Edo State Council Entertainment Team did wonderfully add colours to the courtesy visit. One time Chairman of the NUJ, Edo State Council in the year 1992 Pa Godwin Erahon did give the votes of thanks.
